Ministry of National Defense meets with representatives of revolutionary contributors in Dak Nong province

On the afternoon of June 11, in Hanoi, authorized by the Head of the Ministry of National Defense, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Major General Doan Quang Hoa, Director of the Policy Department, General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, chaired a meeting with the delegation of people with revolutionary contributions from Dak Nong province, on the occasion of the delegation's visit to Hanoi and the Mausoleum to pay respect to President Ho Chi Minh.

At the meeting, Major General Doan Quang Hoa visited and presented gifts from the Ministry of National Defense, and informed the delegates about some outstanding results in policy work for the army and the military rear. Accordingly, in recent times, the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense have led and directed agencies and units throughout the army to actively and proactively coordinate closely with central and local departments, ministries, branches to research and propose to the Party and State to issue and promptly supplement many documents regulating the regime and policies for families of martyrs and people with revolutionary contributions; and policies for military families. The work of searching for, collecting martyrs' remains and identifying the remains of martyrs with missing information has been carried out synchronously and resolutely both domestically and internationally.

The movement of "Repaying gratitude" has been closely and thoughtfully led and directed by the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units throughout the army. Many resources have been mobilized to care for people with revolutionary contributions, creating a strong spread among the people. The army has also always proactively proposed and carefully implemented policies for those who participated in the resistance war, the war to defend the Fatherland and performed international duties; actively resolved the backlog of policies after the wars.

In 2024, towards the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, the Ministry of National Defense will direct the organization of many gratitude activities such as: Organizing flower offerings, incense offerings, visiting martyrs' cemeteries; visiting and presenting gifts to comrades with many contributions in the resistance wars; visiting and presenting gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor during the resistance war period; visiting and presenting gifts to people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs working in the army; visiting and presenting gifts to centers for nurturing and caring for war invalids and meritorious people nationwide; coordinating with the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to organize meetings and honor outstanding meritorious people nationwide in 2024 in Hanoi.../.
