Some bad habits of traffic participants include: using headphones, forgetting to turn on the signal, using headlights inappropriately, keeping an unsafe distance from the vehicle in front, not controlling emotions well while driving, not wearing a seat belt, driving too fast or too slow, drinking alcohol and participating in traffic, running red lights...
Signal right and turn left
A reality is that drivers are quite subjective, often violating traffic safety rules and becoming a habit. A typical example is the error of using turn signals while driving on the road.
Many cases of turning on the right turn signal but driving to the left or calmly turning left or right without turning on the signal - especially common with motorbikes. Although this is just a small mistake, it is the cause of many traffic accidents.
One weekend, I was riding my motorbike on the road. Because I was going slow, I kept close to the right side. When we reached a three-way intersection, a girl’s motorbike in front of me suddenly cut in front of me to turn right, causing us to almost collide.
Another time, when participating in traffic, there were several motorbikes in front of me going straight but all had their left turn signals flashing continuously; there was even a motorbike with its left turn signal on but calmly turned right, regardless of the person walking nearby getting their hands caught or unexpectedly hitting them.
Carefree use of phone while driving
Another “habit” of traffic participants is using the phone while driving on the road. There have been many tragic accidents caused by drivers texting, talking on the phone, surfing the web, or accessing social networks while driving.
When driving on the roads, we often encounter situations where drivers of cars and motorbikes use their phones while driving. Driving and using a mobile phone at the same time will distract concentration, and at that time, controlling the vehicle with one hand will be very dangerous in case of an accident.
Therefore, eliminating the habit of texting, talking on the phone or surfing social networks while driving has become an urgent requirement to ensure maximum traffic safety for drivers as well as those around them.
Ms. Nam (residing in Hiep Ninh ward, Tay Ninh city) said that her house is right on Cach Mang Thang Tam street, she often sees many shippers driving motorbikes, holding the phone in one hand and driving with the other hand, sometimes while driving on the road, they suddenly stop without any signal... "Recently, I witnessed a collision near my house because the shipper was busy looking at his phone and hit a motorcyclist who had just stopped at a red light, luckily he only suffered minor injuries."
Although there are no complete statistics on the number of traffic accidents related to the use of phones while driving, in reality, traffic participants should not use phones because they will not be able to handle the situation when an incident occurs, and will cause accidents for themselves and others.
Therefore, to ensure the safety of yourself and other road users, we should avoid using the phone while driving. If there is an urgent call or message, you can turn on the signal lights and pull the car to the side of the road to use the phone.
