Vietnamese and Chinese Defense Ministers Visit Dong Dang Primary School

This is a particularly meaningful activity within the framework of the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange taking place in Lang Son province.

People in the Lang Son border area welcomed the two Ministers of National Defense within the framework of the 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange on the morning of April 17.

The small road in Cao Loc district, Lang Son border area, is bright with flags and flowers today. Teachers and students of Dong Dang Primary School wear their most colorful and beautiful national costumes, with pride and emotion mixed together when welcoming the two Ministers and high-ranking delegations of the two countries' Defense Ministries to visit. The loud shouts of the slogan "Vietnam - China friendship, Vietnam - China solidarity" resounded far and wide.

Ms. Nguyen Thi My, Vice Principal of Dong Dang Primary School, said: "This is the first time that teachers and students of my school have had the honor of welcoming such a major national event. In the past few days, teachers and students have practiced waving flags and shouting slogans to welcome the delegation in joy and anticipation."

"The school is located in a border area, so for many years, in addition to the main curriculum, Dong Dang Primary School has always had experiential and life skills lessons, taking students to visit border markers. In cultural and literature lessons, teachers also introduce the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and China, so that students can better understand the history of the land where they live and study" - Ms. Nguyen Thi My shared.

In a striking and gentle blue ao dai, Ms. Dinh Thi Lieu, who has been standing on the podium for 29 years, including 6 years as a teacher at Dong Dang Primary School, expressed: "Receiving the attention of the Party, State, and Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam and China, building multi-purpose classrooms, giving gifts..., the teachers and students of the school are very touched. In the past few days, we have practiced performing arts with the students, singing songs about Vietnam and China, about solidarity, about the Party, Uncle Ho and together chanting slogans in Vietnamese and Chinese: "Vietnam - China friendship, Vietnam - China solidarity", the students are young but learn very quickly".

According to Ms. Dinh Thi Lieu: "Dong Dang Primary School has had many students of the Chinese ethnic group living and studying at the school for many years. They are very sociable, no different from the Vietnamese people. Especially, in integrated lessons and field trips, we talk a lot about the culture, customs and practices of the two countries of Vietnam and China. The children are very excited when the teachers instill in them patriotism, national pride, solidarity, attachment and sharing between the two ethnic groups in the two countries of Vietnam and China who have lived together and bonded in this border area for a long time."

Hope more and more children become "little ambassadors" in Vietnam - China friendship

Dong Dang Primary School was established on August 19, 2004. Currently, the school has 30 classes, 1,132 students with 53 staff and teachers. Over the years, the school has always fulfilled its teaching and learning tasks well. Every year, the school has more than 75% of its students achieving excellent results, many of whom have won prizes in exams at all levels. Along with its teaching and learning tasks, Dong Dang Primary School has actively promoted andeducated generations of teachers and students about the solidarity, friendship and fine traditions between Vietnam and China.

During the program, Minister Phan Van Giang and Minister Dong Quan watched special performances by students from Dong Dang Primary School and Primary School No. 4, Bang Tuong City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China).

Expressing his pleasure to visit Dong Dang Primary School, Comrade Liao Pinhu, Vice Chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China), emphasized: The 9th Vietnam - China Border Defense Friendship Exchange is a specific activity on security cooperation to implement the common perception reached by the leaders of the two countries. Comrade Liao Pinhu hopes that Chinese and Vietnamese students will increase exchanges, learn from each other's experiences, and experience culture so that more and more children will become "little ambassadors" in the Vietnam - China friendship.

Defense Ministers of the two countries and delegates visit the Multi-purpose Building.

On this occasion, the two Ministers of Defense of the two countries and the delegates cut the ribbon to inaugurate the Multi-purpose Building built by the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense as a gift to Dong Dang Primary School. The multi-purpose building has 12 rooms, including 1 computer room. The project is of special importance to the school, meeting practical needs, providing a high-quality learning environment, creating the most favorable conditions for students to develop comprehensively in knowledge and skills, along with many meaningful gifts.

Also on April 17, General Phan Van Giang and Senior Lieutenant General Dong Quan and the delegations of the two countries planted a souvenir tree, visited the Huu Nghi International Border Gate Border Guard Station and watched a friendly volleyball match between the Huu Nghi International Border Gate Border Guard Station and the Pingxiang Reunion and Talks Station.

At the same time, the Ministers of Defense of Vietnam and China visited Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park.

The two Ministers took a souvenir photo with the art troupe, including girls wearing Zhuang ethnic costumes in Guangxi (China) when visiting Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park.

Viettel Lang Son Logistics Park is gradually implementing the construction of a smart border gate model of Vietnam, pioneering in technology, operational efficiency and connectivity. With a prime location, adjacent to the national highway system, expressway and cross-border railway, the Park is not only a logistics center but also a comprehensive ecosystem including customs clearance, quarantine, goods inspection, transshipment, warehousing and cross-border transportation.

The deployment of a smart border gate at Huu Nghi International Border Gate not only contributes to promoting the circulation of goods between Vietnam and China but also lays the foundation for a modern logistics ecosystem, where people and technology operate together optimally.
