Coast Guard Region 4 Command received the Medal of Honor

(NLDO) - The Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard hopes and believes that officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command will continue to clearly identify a high sense of responsibility for the cause of protecting sovereignty and enforcing the law at sea.

On May 20, the Command of Coast Guard Region 4 and Colonel Tran Van Luong, Commander of the Region, were honored to receive the Second Class Military Exploit Medal awarded bythe President .

Authorized by leaders at all levels, Lieutenant General Bui Quoc Oai - Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Vietnam Coast Guard - awarded the Second Class Military Exploit Medal to the Command of Coast Guard Region 4.

During the peak period of the fight against smuggling and trade fraud at sea before, during and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin in 2024, combined with the prevention and combat of illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing in the Vietnam - Malaysia - Thailand sea area, under the strong direction of the Commander of Coast Guard Region 4, with solidarity and coordination, overcoming difficulties, the unit's functional forces have achieved many achievements.

Accordingly, 7 ships/7 cases transporting 650,000 liters of DO oil without documents proving the origin of the goods were seized; 3 cases/3 ships were investigated, verified, and handled, confiscated nearly 130,000 liters of DO oil; 1 subject with a particularly dangerous wanted warrant for murder was arrested and handed over to Binh Dinh Provincial Police for handling according to the provisions of law...

The total amount of fines, property auctions, and payments to the state budget is estimated at nearly 21 billion VND.
