Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism explains why artist Ai Nhu is not yet a Meritorious Artist

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a document responding to readers' comments on considering awarding artist titles. Accordingly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism instructed female artist Ai Nhu (Hoang Thai Thanh Drama Theater) to contact the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City for specific instructions on preparing documents for consideration of awarding titles in the next round.

This document states that a reader named Dang Phuc with email address dangphuc1805@... sent a letter to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism requesting the awarding of the artist title to actress Ai Nhu, Hoang Thai Thanh Drama Theater (HCMC).

According to the provisions of Clause 6, Article 12 of Decree No. 89, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is not the agency that receives and considers the application for the title of "Meritorious Artist" to the grassroots council, which is the Hoang Thai Thanh Drama Theater (HCMC).

However, according to the provisions of the 10th Plan for considering and awarding the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist, the deadline for receiving applications for consideration and awarding the title of artist at the grassroots council ended on June 20, 2021.

The document of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also stated that the titles of People's Artist and Meritorious Artist are considered and announced every 3 years. If artist Ai Nhu has not yet submitted a request for the 10th artist title in 2021, then in the next title consideration period, we request that Ms. Ai Nhu contact the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City for specific instructions.

Artist Ai Nhu and artist Thanh Hoi are the two founders and operators of Hoang Thai Thanh Drama Theater, a famous private theater in Ho Chi Minh City.

The female artist is not only an actress but also participates in vocational training for the new generation of actors. Most recently, in early 2021, Ms. Ai Nhu was awarded the Outstanding Female Artist Award by the Vietnam Stage Artists Association for her role as a mother in the play The Rose Pinned on the Shirt .
