After Prime Minister Hun Sen appeared on stage, the closing ceremony of the 32nd SEA Games began with the song See you again performed by the host artists.
Next is a dance performance to the rhythm of bokator - a traditional Cambodian martial art that appeared for the first time in the 32nd SEA Games competition program.
Next was the parade of the participating sports delegations and the appearance of volunteers.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Thong Khon, President of the Southeast Asian Games Federation said: “SEA Games 32 has come to an end.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee and the Southeast Asian Games Federation, I would like to sincerely thank and congratulate Cambodia for organizing a historic Games. I would also like to thank the athletes, coaches, and international guests who have come to participate in the past few days.
During the past days of competition, we have witnessed solidarity and noble spirit in sports in all 579 competition events.
Images like athlete Bou Samnang, who ran in the rain in the women's 5,000m race, or the Philippine and Cambodian athletes in Kun Bokator and Jujitsu have spread the beautiful image of the SEA Games, true to the values of the Olympic spirit.
I would also like to congratulate all the athletes who won medals at this year's SEA Games, especially the athletes from the host country Cambodia, who have achieved unprecedented historic achievements in the SEA Games.
I would like to thank the referees, volunteers, and athletes who have made important contributions to the success of the Games.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to thank Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and the Royal Government of Cambodia for creating all conditions to help the host country create an unforgettable SEA Games. Thank you very much."
The end of the ceremony was the handover of the Southeast Asian Games Federation flag from host Cambodia to the country hosting the next SEA Games - Thailand.
