The awards podium at the 2024 Paris Olympics is inspired by the Eiffel Tower

Countdown to the opening of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On May 23, the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Organizing Committee officially launched the podium used for award ceremonies.

Like the medals, the design of the podium is also inspired by the famous Eiffel Tower with a metal rim structure surrounding the outer surface.

With a beautiful and elegant gray-white color scheme, the podium is made of wood and 100% recycled plastic, and uses a modular design to meet the needs of different events.

The shortest podium used for individual events consists of three modules and is approximately 04m long. The soccer awards ceremony podium uses the most modules, a total of 43 modules, with a total length of 40m. Each podium weighs approximately 45kg.

The Paris Organizing Committee has prepared a total of 685 modules, including 45 spare modules.

The President of the Paris 2024 Olympic Organizing Committee, Tony Estanguet, stated that the podium is the ultimate symbol of achievement and honor.

For Olympic and Paralympic athletes, stepping onto the podium marks the culmination of a long journey.

Gold medalists will stand on a 35cm high podium, while silver and bronze medalists will stand on a 20cm high podium.

A similar podium design will be used for Paralympic awards events, but the top three athletes will all stand on a 20cm-high podium for safety and convenience, with a ramp on one side for wheelchair access.
