Although there is still nearly a week to go until Black Friday (the unofficial name for the day after Thanksgiving in the US, Thursday), many stores in Vinh Yen city have already hung up extremely "huge" promotional signs. Major stores and brands have simultaneously launched many discount programs, ready for "Black Friday".
Black Friday is considered the biggest super discount festival at the end of the year, taking place on Friday, the 4th week of November every year. This is not only an opportunity for shopping enthusiasts to freely "hunt for sales" at bargain prices, but also an opportunity for retailers and businesses to promote their business to achieve growth goals in the final period of the year.
Many stores on the streets of Vinh Yen city simultaneously launched "huge" promotional programs on Black Friday.
Every year, although Black Friday always falls at the end of the month, from the beginning of November, many stores, especially fashion stores and shops on streets such as Me Linh, Ton Duc Thang, Ngo Quyen, Le Xoay... have started to launch attractive promotional programs, with huge discounts of 20 - 30%, even 50 - 80%, buy 1 get 1 free programs... to stimulate consumption and attract customers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, manager of Tezo fashion store, Me Linh street, Vinh Yen city said: “Since the beginning of November, our store has launched many promotional programs, especially focusing on the strongest discounts on items on Black Friday. All items in the shop are discounted from 30 - 75% or many products will be priced from 49,000 VND - 79,000 VND and 129,000 VND...
In previous years, the store's discount programs mostly took place during holidays and Tet. However, this year, the store is stepping up its promotional programs from now until the end of the year to stimulate shopping. It is expected that in the coming days, especially the days approaching Black Friday, the store's business situation will tend to improve and the number of customers coming to shop will increase."
Fashion products are deeply discounted to stimulate consumer shopping on this occasion.
Ms. Nguyen Loan, owner of a fashion shop on Ton Duc Thang Street, Vinh Yen City, shared: “Our store has been running an advertising program, hanging banners with discounts of 20-50% on all items for the past 10 days. However, the number of customers coming to shop is still quite low, because most consumers today are no longer too “interested” in fashion items and only prioritize buying essential household items.
Hopefully, the number of customers from now until Black Friday will increase, the store will also promote and send messages to loyal customers so that customers can grasp the promotion program."
Not only at stores, but also at booths at large supermarkets such as GO! Vinh Phuc , Co.op mart, stores selling cosmetics, fashion, accessories, technology products... all launched many promotional programs, discounts from 30 - 70% on Black Friday with attractive gifts from major brands.
E-commerce platforms and social networks also "exploded" with promotions on Black Friday.
In addition to the traditional market, e-commerce platforms such as Shoppe, Lazada, and social networking sites are also exploding with many shocking discount programs, countless attractive and diverse promotions such as fashion items, household appliances, electronic devices discounted from 20 - 70%... to stimulate consumer shopping.
According to the reporter's records, although the promotional programs were quite impressive, they still failed to attract a large number of consumers to participate in this year's "Black Friday" shopping festival.
As a shopaholic and a sales enthusiast, Thu Huyen, from Khai Quang Ward, Vinh Yen City, is also wondering whether or not to shop for sales this Black Friday. Ms. Huyen said: “This year, my family’s economy is more difficult, so I always have to consider how to save as much as possible on unnecessary things for my family.
On the other hand, promotions take place all year round, so I only buy essential things for myself or my family members, not buying everything like before. In addition, Tet is coming soon, so I also want to save some money for spending and shopping at the end of the year."
It can be said that, although brands and stores have launched explosive promotions on Black Friday, consumers have become wiser when deciding whether to hunt for sales or not. Instead of hunting for sales en masse, buying according to "trends", many people only buy according to their needs in order to use them reasonably, practically, and within their budget to save costs for more necessary tasks.
