Buon Ma Thuot specially recruits 36 long-term contract teachers

On the morning of May 12, Mr. Tran Dinh Sy - Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Buon Ma Thuot City - confirmed that the City People's Committee had just issued a special recruitment plan for 36 contract teachers signed before December 31, 2015.

According to Mr. Sy, all documents and procedures have been completed, and notices have been sent to each teacher. The special recruitment is expected to be completed before July 1.

According to the plan, this group of teachers must meet the following conditions: have a labor contract before December 31, 2015, pay full social insurance, have a bachelor's degree in a major appropriate to the subject they teach, and have a pedagogical certificate.

The special consideration is based on the direction in Official Dispatch 9028 dated March 11, 2019 of the Central Party Office and Official Dispatch 1480 dated June 5, 2019 of the Government Office .

Previously, in the 2020 recruitment round, many teachers in this group were eliminated because they did not have a teaching degree according to the regulations of the Ministry of the Interior at that time. Even though they had a bachelor's degree in the right teaching major and had added a pedagogical certificate, they were still not considered because their graduation degree was not in the teacher training major.

The prolonged situation has left 36 teachers, despite having worked stably for more than 10 years, still not officially recruited. Many people have expressed concern that the abolition of district-level government in Buon Ma Thuot City is approaching, which could lead to changes in organizational structure and personnel policies.

"We have been dedicated to this profession for more than 10 years. But until now we are still only contract teachers. If we are not recruited before the city abolishes the district level, we do not know where our rights will go," a teacher shared.

A teacher said she had completed additional university degrees and acquired many professional certificates, but had not been officially hired for the past five years.

"When the Ministry of Education and Training issued an official dispatch in January 2022 allowing special consideration for teachers who did not graduate from a pedagogical major, we were happy. But we have waited until now to be considered," she said.

Mr. Tran Dinh Sy affirmed that the review and recruitment planning were carried out strictly, ensuring compliance with regulations.

"The city is determined to remove obstacles for this group of teachers, both ensuring the rights of workers and stabilizing the teaching staff in the face of upcoming changes," he said.
