According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, from May 13 to 14, the Northwest region will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain with rainfall from 10-30 mm-24 hours, some places over 50 mm-24 hours.

In the afternoon and evening of May 13, the Central Central region and the Northern Central Highlands will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with localized heavy to very heavy rain with rainfall ranging from 20-50 mm, with some places over 80 mm; thunderstorms are likely to cause tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rain is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas. Natural disaster risk level due to tornadoes, lightning and hail is level 1.

At sea, during the day and night of May 13, the Gulf of Tonkin and the sea area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will continue to have showers and thunderstorms; thunderstorms may cause tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Huong, Head of the Weather Forecast Department of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, thunderstorms accompanied by tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind can affect agricultural production, cause trees to fall, damage houses, traffic works and infrastructure. Localized heavy rain can cause flooding in low-lying areas. Strong winds and large waves at sea can affect the operation of ships and other activities.

Northeast region is cloudy, with rain during the day, scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places; rain in some places at night. Northeast wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 21-24 degrees Celsius, in mountainous areas below 20 degrees Celsius. Highest temperature 25-28 degrees Celsius.
