Ca Mau: One person died, two people were hospitalized due to suspected alcohol poisoning

On June 10, information from the People's Committee of Thanh Tung commune (Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province) said that there was a report about a death suspected of alcohol poisoning that occurred in the area.

Mr. KVT is being treated at the Intensive Care and Anti-Poison Department of Ca Mau Provincial General Hospital.

According to initial information, on the afternoon of June 6, Mr. T.D. (69 years old) and KVT (53 years old) drank at the house of KXN (50 years old; both living in Thanh Tung commune) about 1 liter of wine mixed with vinegar.

Afterwards, Mr. D. showed signs of fatigue, lethargy, and vomiting, so his family took him to Cai Nuoc District General Hospital for treatment. However, when he arrived at the emergency room, the doctor announced that Mr. D. had died.

Regarding the above incident, information from the Department of Intensive Care and Anti-Poison of Ca Mau General Hospital said that the people who drank with Mr. D. are being treated at the hospital and have been diagnosed with methanol poisoning.
