Nationwide, there are more than 15,100 newly established enterprises in May 2025

(CT) - According to the National Enterprise Registration Information System, Department of Private Enterprise and Collective Economy Development, Ministry of Finance, in May 2025, the whole country had more than 15,100 newly established enterprises, with registered capital of more than 156,700 billion VND, down 0.6% in number of enterprises, up 17.3% in registered capital compared to April 2025.

In the first 5 months of 2025, nearly 66,800 newly registered enterprises nationwide, with a total registered capital of VND 647,100 billion, an increase of 0.6% in the number of enterprises and a decrease of 2.2% in registered capital compared to the same period last year. The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in the first 5 months of 2025 reached VND 9.7 billion, down 2.7% compared to the same period in 2024. In addition, more than 45,000 enterprises nationwide returned to operation (up 32.2% compared to the same period in 2024), bringing the total number of newly established and returning enterprises in the first five months of 2025 to more than 111,800 enterprises, up 11.3% compared to the same period in 2024. On average, nearly 22,400 enterprises were newly established and returned to operation each month.

Also in the first 5 months of this year, the country recorded nearly 74,600 enterprises temporarily suspending business, up 12.8% over the same period last year; more than 27,500 enterprises temporarily suspended operations pending dissolution procedures, up 18.3%; nearly 9,600 enterprises completed dissolution procedures, up 15.7%. On average, more than 22,300 enterprises withdrew from the market each month.
