Coffee and pepper prices both "fell" on September 18

(GLO)- Today (September 18), coffee and pepper prices both "fell". Of which, coffee prices decreased by an average of 1,400 VND/kg, while pepper prices decreased by another 1,000 VND/kg.

Specifically, after the decrease, the average coffee purchase price in key areas is currently at 121,700 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai, coffee is being purchased at 121,500 VND/kg; in Dak Lak, it is 121,200 VND/kg. In Lam Dong province, coffee is currently traded at 120,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the country.

For pepper, the current average purchase price is 148,600 VND/kg. The highest purchase price of 150,000 VND/kg is in the two provinces of Dak Lak and Lam Dong; followed by Ho Chi Minh City with 149,000 VND/kg.

The lowest pepper price was in Gia Lai and Dong Nai , down to 147,000 VND/kg after decreasing by 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Domestically, pepper supply is decreasing as the harvest has ended and most farmers have sold out their output. According to business forecasts, pepper prices in the coming time may fluctuate depending on the weather in growing areas and import demand from major markets.
