'Song of Unification' has a performance by 100 artists
On the afternoon of April 16, the organizing committee of the chamber symphony program Song of Reunification held a meeting in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
According to Colonel, People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac - Vice Principal of the Military University of Culture and Arts, the art program Song of Unification was assigned by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army to the Military University of Culture and Arts to carry out, with the aim of propagating the significance and historical value of the great victory in the spring of 1975, while at the same time raising the responsibility of the young generation in preserving and promoting the heroic traditions of the nation, turning pride into motivation, joining hands to build and protect the Fatherland in the era of national development.
"We hope to bring a program with high artistic value, of stature, aimed at a wide audience. The songs selected for performance in the program are songs that have gone through the years, associated with each historical period. This is the largest chamber symphony art program of the army to date. It is expected that about 60 musicians, 20 choir singers and nearly 20 famous singers inside and outside the army, representing generations will participate in the performance. The performances in the program are all carefully prepared, with some performances gathering 100 performing artists," People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac shared.

Performing 18 works in 90 minutes
Lieutenant Colonel, musician Do Bao added that the program Song of Unification will last 90 minutes with 18 songs, including immortal songs, associated with each historical period, praising the feats of our army and people in the resistance war for independence.
The Unification Song includes the opening part with the Overture The Country by the Waves - Footprints in the Front, recreating a Vietnam from the dawn of the nation's founding, through many struggles to preserve sovereignty , to President Ho Chi Minh's journey to find a way to save the country and the development reaching new heights in the new era and 3 chapters: The South goes first and comes last, The Battle Song, The Victory Monument.

Some of the songs that will be performed in the program include Returning to Motherland, Grateful to Ms. Vo Thi Sau, Battalion 307, On the top of Truong Son we sing, Your love, My hometown Quang Binh, Songs from the city named after you, Song of unification, You are the belief in certain victory, Ben Tre's posture...
Singer Luong Nguyet Anh shared that she had performed many shows in Ho Chi Minh City, but the Unification Song had a special and emotional meaning for her. "I am proud to be a soldier and artist on the cultural front, wearing the green uniform and singing with pride and passionate patriotism. I think not only me but also the singers and artists performing in this show have such soaring emotions," the female singer expressed.
The Unified Song program features the participation of the Army Symphony Orchestra, artists from the Military University of Culture and Arts, the Choir of the Ho Chi Minh City Opera and Ballet Theatre, conductors: People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac and Meritorious Artist Tran Vuong Thach. The artists participating in the performance include People's Artist Duong Minh Duc, Meritorious Artist Vu Thang Loi, Meritorious Artist Pham Khanh Ngoc, Pham Thu Ha, Meritorious Artist Van Mai, Meritorious Artist Dinh Hoai Xuan, Do To Hoa, Luong Nguyet Anh, Le Xuan Hao...
The show is not for sale (invitation only), and will take place at 8:00 p.m. on April 21 at the Southern Military Theater (Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City).
