Singers Tung Duong, Minh Thu... sit and sing next to Chem communal house

On the evening of November 18, in the space of a thousand-year-old ancient communal house, next to the windy Red River, the program "Sacred Chem Communal House - Flow of Essence" took place at Chem Communal House, Thuy Phuong Ward, Bac Tu Liem, Hanoi . The program contributed to shining the identity of Thang Long - Hanoi culture with sublime artistic performances. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Luu Ngoc Ha - Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Tu Liem District emphasized that Chem Communal House is an ancient communal house with a history of about two thousand years, located on the banks of the historic Red River - the river is a symbol of the rice civilization. Chem Communal House has witnessed many ups and downs of history, preserved with the flow of alluvial sediment from ancient times, is a place where the source of quintessence converges with sacred and unique meaning.

"The art program "Linh Thieng Dinh Chem - The Flow of Essence" is a creative design product that brings people and tourists from all over the world a new feeling, with impressions and experiences that awaken the heritage values along the banks of the Red River, becoming a unique creative art space" - Comrade Luu Ngoc Ha emphasized.

The art program is carefully prepared, with the coordination of many localities and art troupes; "Linh Thieng Dinh Chem - The Flow of Essence" will be a special creative art night, creating a highlight in the series of activities of the Hanoi Creative Design Festival in 2023, contributing to realizing the goal: "The capital Hanoi is a creative city with influence in the Asian region; a globally connected city, a unique political - cultural and tourist center, with international competitiveness.

"The sacredness of Chèm communal house" is elaborately staged, with the commentary of Meritorious Artist Le Chuc giving viewers a panoramic view of the stature and significance of the thousand-year-old ancient communal house. From there, the program brings viewers to an artistic space imbued with emotions, connected throughout by nearly 20 unique performances spanning three chapters: "The source of culture", "A thousand-year masterpiece - The soul of the nation" and "The quintessence shines".

Staged in an ancient sacred space with a stage on the communal house yard, a live stage on the riverbed, the program's art space immerses the audience in the beauty and thousand-year-old traditional values of the ancient land by the mother river. On that emotional background, the performances are an interweaving connection between history and the contemporary, the past and the future, the transmission, preservation and continuation, the integration and preservation of the thousand-year-old identity of Thang Long - Hanoi.

The program tells the story of the journey of the flow of quintessence, starting from the "sources of culture", converging in the capital Hanoi, where the soul of the mountains and rivers has been settled for thousands of years, creating thousand-year masterpieces such as the sacred Chem communal house that we are present, along with long-standing traditional art forms. The flow of quintessence continuously changes in pride, self-esteem, resounding colorfully, shining brightly.

The most impressive part of the program was the performance "By the Cai River" (composed by Pho Duc Phuong) performed by Meritorious Artist Minh Thu on the main stage with 30 models wearing Ao Dai on the Red River stage, bringing the audience an overwhelming feeling of Vietnamese culture and the Red River civilization. Also on the live stage, Minh Thu once again brought the majesty and tolerance of the Red River - the river that brings life and endless culture to the people of Hanoi with "Red River Traveler".

In the program, the live stage is located on the banks of the Red River as an important witness to the ups and downs of the capital's history. The Red River is not only a symbol of the rice civilization. Every place this river flows through deposits layers of alluvium and leaves behind unique traditional cultural values, the most prominent of which is the Thang Long culture. These are architectural works, traditional craft villages, folk music, indigenous beliefs... showing the richness of the culture of the capital with thousands of years of civilization.

In that immense space, Tung Duong's powerful voice like surging waves, sometimes whispering like soothing waves, turned "Improvisation of the Red River" into a vast, gentle melody. The song seems to encapsulate the tolerant character, the thousand-year history of the mother river with its full of gallantry, bringing fertile alluvium, rich in the cultural identity of Hanoi.

In addition to the above song, Tung Duong also poured out his fire when performing "Flow, River" on the main stage with a completely new arrangement. The male singer's voice seemed to blend with the sacred space of the land and sky by the Red River and the space of the ancient Chem temple, creating a special effect of music and spirituality.

For the people of Bac Tu Liem district, the first time hearing the song "Dinh Chem - a thousand-year mark" composed by musician Moc Cam, with lyrics written by Mai Thanh Tung, performed by Sao Mai Ngoc Ky right at the communal house yard was a feeling of great pride and affection.

Artists are in high spirits in the sacred and ancient space of Chem communal house, Red River.

The thousand-year-old sacred communal house now has its own song, depicting the legend, history, position with spiritual life, associated with the history of building and defending the country and is the pride of the people here. Therefore, this will be an unforgettable mark in the hearts of viewers.

Singer Kyo York brought to the show the song "Hello Vietnam" - a fun and youthful music that changed the atmosphere of the show. The American singer performed on the background of 50 models wearing Ao Dai with traditional cultural motifs.

In the flow of cultural quintessence, the program also brings performances imbued with Vietnam's intangible cultural heritage such as: "Folk songs of three regions", "Say shaman", "Sitting on the boat's side" (Bac Ninh folk songs), xoe dance for the festival, "Dap nang Khot" (Muong folk songs, Muong Rap and EDM), "Xam Ha Noi"... with the performance of the Wind Chimes Group, Sao Mai Quach Mai Thy, Ha Myo, Rapper Khac Noi, Rapper Endy, artists from Yen Bai Provincial Cultural Center and dance troupes brought extremely eye-catching performances with many emotional ranges.

The culture of Thang Long - Hanoi is convergence and spread, therefore, the ending song of the program "Vietnam I love" is the resounding notes showing the spirit of Hanoi for the whole country, the whole country for Hanoi throughout history.
