CAHN – Hanoi FC: The battle for the top of the table and the pressure of Quang Hai

On the day Hanoi Police battled Hanoi FC for the 2023 V-League championship, midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai reunited with the old team that made his name.

What Quang Hai has done for CAHN has not been up to expectations. The past has witnessed a similar long period of silence of Quang Hai, but then exploded in difficult times for the team or in big matches. CAHN hopes that this will happen again in the meeting with Hanoi FC, not only to win but also to help Quang Hai overcome the above mentioned pressure.

The match at Hang Day Stadium is also a great battle for the top of the V-League. CAHN's missteps created an opportunity for Hanoi FC to break away despite playing worse than before. In front of emerging forces, Hanoi FC has never been afraid. Hai Phong , Thanh Hoa, Ho Chi Minh City Club or Binh Dinh recently failed to prevent Hanoi FC from reaching the championship. This season, CAHN immediately felt the pressure in round 2 of phase I with a 0-2 loss. Defeating the champion Hanoi FC is therefore a guarantee of strength for those who want to conquer the throne.

The last three rounds of Phase II are big battles between the top four teams including Hanoi FC (32 points), CAHN (31), Thanh Hoa (30) and Viettel (29). A defeat can make the championship chance go away for any team.

Before the CAHN – Hanoi FC match, Thanh Hoa will host Viettel at home at 6:00 p.m. In phase I, Thanh Hoa had a comeback to win Viettel 3-2, but this time promises to be more difficult as Viettel has a good force and a solid defense.

The remaining four positions have practically run out of chances to win the championship, but still have their own goals. At Quy Nhon Stadium, Binh Dinh will face Ha Tinh at 6 p.m. with the aim of improving their ranking. Meanwhile, at Lach Tray, Nam Dinh will meet host Hai Phong at 7:15 p.m., with the desire to restore the trust of fans after the infamous 1-2 loss to CAHN.
