On the evening of October 27, the latest match of round 8 of LPBank V-League 1 2025-2026 ended with a minimal 1-0 victory of Hanoi Police against Ho Chi Minh City Police.

This result helped Quang Hai and his teammates rise to 2nd place with 17 points, 3 points behind the top team, the rookie Ninh Binh . However, the police team still has one match left to play.

The Cong - Viettel ranked 3rd with 15 points, after a shocking 1-2 loss to Hoang Anh Gia Lai.

Hai Phong Club and Ho Chi Minh City Police Club both have 14 points, ranking 4th and 5th respectively on the rankings.

New coach Harry Kewell found his first win when defeating Becamex TP.HCM. This result helped Hanoi FC rise to 6th place with 11 points and temporarily escape the crisis.

Meanwhile, Nam Dinh Green Steel continued to disappoint when they were held to a 1-1 draw by SHB Da Nang at home at Thien Truong Stadium. The defending champion is struggling in 8th place on the rankings.
