On the morning of December 13th, leaders of the Ea Kiết commune People's Committee ( Dak Lak province) announced that authorities had found the body of L.T.M.T. (a 11th-grade student at Tran Quang Khai High School) after several days of being missing.

T.'s body was discovered around 2:30 AM on December 12th in the Serepok River, in the section flowing through Nam Da commune ( Lam Dong province), about 4km from where her motorbike and school supplies were found.

T. is the eldest daughter in a family of three sisters, residing in Hamlet 5, Ea Kiet Commune.

On December 1st, after school, T. did not return home. The family tried to contact her many times but were unsuccessful, so they reported the matter to the authorities and organized a search, seeking help from friends and acquaintances. Information about T.'s disappearance was also widely shared on social media.

By the evening of December 2nd, residents discovered T.'s motorbike and schoolbag near the banks of the Serepok River, about 8km from his home. From there, authorities and local residents mobilized numerous vehicles and personnel to search along the river.

Throughout the search, the girl's father was present by the riverbank every day, silently waiting, watching the water flow with the faint hope that his daughter was still alive. However, the miracle did not happen.

On the same day, December 13th, Mr. Le Chi Khai, the principal of Tran Quang Khai High School, said that the school had organized a visit to offer condolences and encouragement to T.'s family.

According to Mr. Khai, for many days, teachers and students at the school had been eagerly awaiting T.'s return to class. However, late in the afternoon of December 12th, the school received information from the Ea Kiết commune police that the student's body had been found.

"Upon receiving the devastating news, I was utterly shocked. All hope of welcoming T. back to school has vanished," Mr. Khai shared.

School leaders said that T. was a well-behaved, sociable student, loved by teachers and friends. On the morning of December 1st, she attended all classes and showed no unusual behavior. When they heard the news of T.'s disappearance, teachers and students were all very surprised.
