The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge construction investment project has a total investment of 6,810 billion VND, expected to be put into operation and use on August 19, 5 months ahead of the Prime Minister's direction.

The Rach Mieu 2 Bridge construction investment project is invested by My Thuan Project Management Board ( Ministry of Construction ), with a total investment of 6,810 billion VND from the state budget. The project started in March 2022 and is expected to be completed in August 2025.

This is a key transport project, connecting provinces and contributing to promoting socio -economic development in the Mekong Delta region.

The starting point of the project connects to Dong Tam Intersection in Chau Thanh District, Tien Giang Province (now Long Hung Commune, Dong Thap Province) and the end point is about Km16+660 National Highway 60, about 0.71 km from the northern abutment of Ham Luong Bridge in Ben Tre City, Ben Tre Province (now Ben Tre Ward, Vinh Long Province).

The project has a total length of 17.6 km, including 7.95 km passing through Tien Giang province (now Dong Thap province) and 9.65 km passing through Ben Tre province (now Vinh Long province).

The project includes 6 construction packages, the road section has a total length of 14.26 km, including 6 bridges on the main route, total length of 3,337.94 m.

Up to now, the project has handed over 17.6/17.6 km, reaching 100% of the entire route.

On July 29, the joint venture of contractors constructing the main cable-stayed bridge organized a load test of Rach Mieu 2 Bridge.

Up to now, the total output value is 3,269/3,284 billion VND, reaching 99.55% of the contract value, faster than planned.
