"Angler" caught a "giant" black carp weighing more than 40 kg

On June 16, Mr. Le Khanh Hoa (29 years old, residing in Thai Hoa town, Nghe An) confirmed that his group had just caught a black carp weighing 40.5 kg. This is the largest black carp in the past 3 years, since the group of anglers fished at Khe La dam, Phu Son commune, Tan Ky district, Nghe An.

It is known that to catch this "giant" black carp, Mr. Hoa's group spent about 6 days, and on the evening of June 15, the fish was caught. In addition to the "giant" black carp above, Mr. Hoa's group also caught another smaller black carp, weighing 29 kg.

Knowing that Mr. Hoa caught a "huge" black carp, many people came to buy it but he did not sell. This fish will be frozen and preserved because he goes fishing to satisfy his passion and challenge himself.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dung, Chairman of Phu Son Commune People's Committee, the commune has information that Mr. Hoa caught a black carp weighing more than 40 kg at Khe La dam. A few years ago, someone also caught a fish weighing 20-30 kg at this irrigation dam.

It is known that Khe La irrigation dam is 54 hectares wide, with the deepest point being over 20 meters, serving irrigation for hundreds of hectares of rice. This area is being contracted by a household to raise fish in cages and open fishing services.
