According to Phu Yen Tax Department, recently, taking advantage of simple regulations in business registration and electronic invoice registration, many subjects have committed illegal acts of using invoices.
These acts include using electronic invoices that are not registered with the tax authority; fake invoices that are not yet available or have expired; invoices that have been discontinued due to tax arrears; invoices that do not fully contain required information; fake invoices; invoices that do not accurately reflect the actual value incurred; invoices that are used to circulate goods during the transportation process or used to prove other goods and services; invoices of other organizations or individuals to legalize purchases or sales, etc.
To avoid the above situations, businesses can look up purchase and sales invoices of the unit at https://hoadondientu.gdt.gov.vn.
According to Phu Yen Tax Department, using electronic invoices helps businesses reduce costs compared to using paper invoices (printing, transportation, storage costs, etc.); it is easy to manage, search, and store invoices. All tax administrative procedures from registering to use invoices, creating invoices, handling erroneous invoices, etc. are all done electronically, so it is very convenient.
However, if businesses, organizations, and individuals use illegal invoices or illegally use invoices, they may be fined from 20 to 50 million VND according to the provisions of Decree 125/2020/ND-CP dated October 19, 2020 of the Government .
