Coast Guard coordinates to arrest fishing boat carrying oil without legal documents

VOV.VN - This afternoon, September 2, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 said that the authorities escorted the fishing boat back to the mainland while it was illegally transporting a large quantity of DO oil.

Previously, at 9:30 p.m. on September 1, in the sea area about 7 nautical miles from Vung Tau Cape, the functional forces of the Coast Guard Region 3 Command coordinated with the Vung Tau Port Border Control Station and the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Border Guard to inspect the BV5491TS ship.

At the time of inspection, there were 3 crew members on board, led by Mr. Ho Van Sot, born in 1968, from Phuoc Tinh commune, Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

According to the captain's initial statement, the BV5491TS ship was carrying about 30,000 liters of DO oil, but there were no documents proving the legality of the oil.

The authorities have drawn up a record and escorted the people, vehicles and exhibits to the port of Squadron 301 for further investigation and handling.
