On May 23, the leader of Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway Joint Stock Company said: From 0:00 on May 28, 2024, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway will officially collect service usage fees.

The North-South Expressway Construction Project in the East phase 2017 - 2020, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao section has a total investment of 8,925 billion VND, length of 78.5km, passing through 3 provinces of Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan . On the route, there is Nui Vung tunnel 2.2km long, scale of 3 lanes, tunnel width of 14m, phase 1 uses the Right tunnel tube, 2-way traffic. The joint venture of investors is Deo Ca Group Joint Stock Company, Deo Ca Construction Joint Stock Company and Construction Investment Corporation 194 Joint Stock Company. The project enterprise is Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway Joint Stock Company.

On April 23, 2024, in Notice No. 54/TB-HDKTNN, the State Inspection Council on construction acceptance agreed to put the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao section project into operation. This is the first project to receive the approval notice from the State Inspection Council among the North - South Expressway PPP projects implemented during this period.

On May 23, 2024, in Notice No. 598/CĐCTVN-QLXDKT, the Vietnam Expressway Administration confirmed the completion of the project according to the results of the inspection of the acceptance work for the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao section investment and construction component project in Notice No. 54/TB-HDKTNN dated April 23, 2024 of the State Inspection Council.

Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway is a project on the North - South Expressway phase 1 with a modern ITS system, integrating both the road and Nui Vung tunnel. The ETC system is interconnected with open input (no barrier), toll collection data at stations is connected and synchronized to the Toll Monitoring Center to ensure complete and transparent toll collection.

In addition, the project investor has proactively spent money to build temporary rest stops along the route to serve people for free while waiting for the Ministry of Transport to approve the investment in building official rest stops.

From 7:00 a.m. on April 26, 2024 to 12:00 p.m. on May 23, 2024, the Cam Lam - Vinh Hao expressway will be put into operation without toll collection, serving more than 280,000 vehicles traveling on the route for free.

From 0:00 on May 28, 2024, Cam Lam - Vinh Hao Expressway officially collects service fees, with 4 toll stations on the route including: Du Long Toll Station (Du Long Intersection Km70+194), Phan Rang Toll Station (Phan Rang Intersection Km92+815) and Toll Station on the main route (Km133+770). The specific fees (depending on the route/Km) are as follows:

Group 1: Vehicles with less than 12 seats, trucks with a load capacity of less than 2 tons; public passenger buses collect from 24,000 VND to 130,000 VND.

Group 2: Vehicles with 12 to 30 seats; trucks with a load capacity of 2 tons to under 4 tons collect from 31,000 VND to 170,000 VND.

Group 3: Vehicles with 31 seats or more; trucks with a load capacity from 4 tons to under 10 tons collect from 41,000 VND to 222,000 VND.

Group 4: Trucks with a load capacity from 10 tons to under 18 tons; trucks carrying goods using 20-foot containers charge from 65,000 VND to 353,000 VND.

Group 5: Trucks with a load capacity of 18 tons or more; trucks carrying goods in 40-foot containers collect from VND 92,000 to VND 497,000. The fee has reduced VAT according to Decree 94/2023/ND-CP.

According to the leader of Cam Lam-Vinh Hao Expressway Joint Stock Company, implementing Directive No. 11/CT-TTg dated July 19, 2022 of the Prime Minister , all vehicles entering the expressway must use the non-stop electronic toll collection service. Vehicles that intentionally violate the law will be refused service and the authorities will handle it according to the provisions of law.
