Update on progress of 500kV line circuit 3 to June 17

By June 17, the 500kV circuit 3 lines had completed the erection of 604 pole positions, and were constructing 423/1177 pole positions.

According to the report of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), up to now, the 500kV line 3 circuit projects from Quang Trach to Pho Noi have completed handing over the site for all 1,177/1,177 pole foundation locations; 99.6% of the route corridor (511/513 anchoring spaces), with 2 anchoring spaces (KN) not yet handed over in Nghe An and Nam Dinh .

Regarding the supply of steel columns, the entire project has 75 packages implemented by 18 contractors/contractor consortiums, equivalent to nearly 139 thousand tons of steel. Of which, 965 columns are domestically produced and 212 columns are imported from China.

To date, 971/1177 pole positions have been handed over, reaching 83%. Currently, 188 pole positions are being handed over, the remaining 18 pole positions are expected to be completed before June 20, 2024.

Materials and accessories such as conductors, insulators, and optical cables have been basically completed and handed over. Some remaining insulators and accessories of the Quang Trach - Quynh Luu 500kV transmission line project are being urgently transported and handed over to the construction site by EVNNPT and the Project Management Board by the contractor before June 20, 2024 for synchronous installation.

Regarding construction work, by June 17, the foundation casting for all 1,177/1,177 positions had been completed. The erection of 604/1,177 column positions had been completed, and 423/1,177 column positions were being erected. The wire pulling of 53/513 anchor spans had been completed, and the wire pulling of 40/513 anchor spans was being carried out.

In which, the 500kV Nam Dinh I - Thanh Hoa transmission line project has completed casting the foundations of all 180/180 positions. Completed erection of 175/180 pole positions, and is currently erecting 5/180 pole positions. Completed pulling the wires of 39/74 anchor intervals, and is currently pulling the wires of 20/74 anchor intervals.

Regarding the handover of steel poles, conductors, insulators, optical cables and accessories, 100% completed.

The 500kV Nam Dinh I - Pho Noi transmission line project has completed casting the foundations of all 334/334 positions. Completed erection of 185/334 pole positions, and is currently erecting 124/334 pole positions. Completed pulling the wires of 2/144 anchoring spans, and is currently pulling the wires of 14/144 anchoring spans.

Regarding the handover of steel poles, conductors, insulators, optical cables and accessories, 100% has been completed. The Quynh Luu - Thanh Hoa 500 kV transmission line project has completed the foundation casting of all 200/200 positions. Completed the erection of 62/200 pole positions, and is currently erecting 93/200 pole positions. Completed the pulling of wires for 2/98 anchor intervals, and is currently pulling wires for 1/98 anchor intervals.

Regarding the supply of conductors and optical cables, 100% of the volume has been completed. For the steel pole section, 369/463 poles have been delivered, 80 poles are being delivered; the remaining 14 poles are expected to be delivered before June 20, 2024. For the insulator and accessories section, 98% of the total number of anchor insulator bowls have been delivered; 55% of the total number of support insulator bowls have been delivered; 86% of the total number of anchor accessory sets have been delivered; 76% of the total number of support accessory sets have been delivered. The remaining part is expected to be delivered before June 20, 2024.

The 500 kV Quang Trach - Quynh Luu transmission line project has completed casting the foundations of all 463/463 positions. Completed erection of 182/463 pole positions, and is currently erecting 201/463 pole positions. Completed pulling the wires of 10/197 anchor spans, and is currently pulling the wires of 5/197 anchor spans.

For this project, the supply of conductors, insulation, optical cables and accessories has been 100% completed. As for the steel poles, 127/200 poles have been delivered; 69 poles are being delivered; the remaining 04 poles are expected to be delivered before June 20, 2024.

According to EVN/EVNNPT, despite efforts day and night, the project construction work still faces three basic difficulties: supplying steel poles due to some contractors being behind schedule; contractors' human resources for erecting poles and pulling wires; and difficulties due to erratic weather conditions.

Currently, EVN/EVNNPT and the forces participating in the project continue to make efforts to overcome the difficulties and disadvantages of the weather, implementing many solutions such as taking advantage of dry weather to gather materials and equipment to the construction site, adjusting the work schedule flexibly according to weather conditions, maximizing mechanical construction for locations where mechanical machines can be used, striving to complete the project in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister .
