Thanh Hoa launches Action Month for Gender Equality

On the morning of November 6, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union organized the launching ceremony of the Action Month for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2025 with the theme "Gender Equality and Safety for Women and Girls in the Digital Age". The month of action for gender equality and prevention and response to gender-based violence takes place from November 15 to December 15, 2025.

This is a peak period of propaganda and mobilization for the whole society to join hands to effectively implement policies, programs and goals on gender equality, reduce gender-based violence, especially violence against women and children, contributing to building a safe, fair, progressive and happy society.

At the launching ceremony, Chairwoman of the Provincial Women's Union Luong Thi Hanh called on Party committees at all levels, authorities, departments, branches, unions, agencies, units, enterprises, social organizations, all cadres, members, women and people to actively respond to the Action Month with specific and practical actions to raise awareness of gender equality and prevent and respond to gender-based violence.

The President of the Provincial Women's Union suggested: "Each person and each family should proactively speak up and act for gender equality. Let's work together to build a safe, equal, loving and happy living environment, so that gender equality truly becomes the foundation of sustainable development and social progress."

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the Provincial Women's Union organized a communication campaign on "Happy family - no violence" and propaganda to prevent and combat child marriage and incestuous marriage.

During the Month of Action for Gender Equality and Prevention and Response to Gender-Based Violence in 2025, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union organized a series of events: Communication on gender equality for members of the "Trusted Address in the Community" model and the "Leader of Change" Club; communication on prevention and control of gender-based violence in the community in Mo village (Phu Xuan commune), Lat village (Tam Chung commune); support for thematic talk models on implementing civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals, solidarity in building cultural life in the community in Lat village (Tam Chung commune)...
