Innovate and improve the quality of the farmers' movement to compete in good production and business.

On the morning of November 7, Thanh Hoa Provincial Farmers' Association held a conference to summarize the movement of farmers competing in excellent production and business and to commend advanced models, period 2020-2025.

Also attending were representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, units with coordination programs with the Farmers' Association; leaders of the Provincial Farmers' Association through the periods and 97 outstanding farmer members in the period 2020-2025.

Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Nguyen Quoc Tien delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association Nguyen Quoc Tien affirmed: This is an important event of the Association and the farmers of Thanh Hoa province, demonstrating the attention, recognition and honor of the great contributions of the farmers to the socio- economic development of the province.

This is also an opportunity to look back on the 5-year journey full of effort and creativity, evaluate the outstanding results, positive changes in the movement of farmers competing for good production and business; commend and honor exemplary farmers, typical advanced farmers, "beautiful flowers" in the "flower garden" of good people and good deeds of the province.

At the same time, it is an opportunity to determine new determination, new spirit, new goals and solutions to continue to make the emulation movement of farmers in good production and business develop more strongly and sustainably in the period 2025-2030.

In recent years, the movement of farmers competing in good production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty has become a revolutionary movement in the renovation period of the peasant class. By 2025, Thanh Hoa province will have 29,289 households achieving the title of good production and business at all levels; of which, 125 households will reach the central level; 1,327 households will reach the provincial level, 27,837 households will reach the commune level and 105 good production and business households will rise up to establish enterprises operating in rural areas.

In addition, 554 cooperatives, 132 cooperatives, 152 professional farmer associations, and 1,107 professional farmer associations have been established - important links in the production and business cooperation linkage along the value chain, developing the collective economic form.

The Association at all levels has mobilized members and farmers to help with capital, food, goods, plants and seeds worth more than 186 billion VND and more than 239,000 working days for more than 40,270 farming households; created jobs on the spot for nearly 1.2 million workers; and supported more than 89,000 farming households to escape poverty.

With economic development, people have actively participated in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas. Over the past 5 years, farmers in the province have contributed 1,219 billion VND, donated 713,831 ^m2 of land, and nearly 1.4 million working days to build and develop their homeland.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Mai Xuan Liem, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, commended and highly appreciated the efforts and contributions of the peasant class and the activities of the Farmers' Association at all levels of Thanh Hoa province in recent years; congratulated 97 outstanding farmer members who were commended.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Vietnamese farmers in general, Thanh Hoa farmers in particular, have a tradition of patriotism and revolution, have made great contributions throughout the history of our nation and our province; today they continue to promote their important role and position in the cause of promoting industrialization and modernization, building new rural areas, building and defending the Fatherland.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Trinh Tuan Sinh and delegates visited the farmer union members' booth displayed at the conference area.

To continue to maintain, develop, improve the quality and effectiveness of the movement, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested that Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province closely follow and seriously and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; the leadership and direction of the Central Vietnam Farmers' Association , the Provincial Party Committee on agricultural, farmer and rural development, associated with performing the Association's tasks in the new situation.

Continue to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Association, build and consolidate a strong Association organization as "the center and core of the farmers' movement and the new rural construction".

Strengthen support for farmers through consulting activities, legal aid; capital support, vocational training, science and technology transfer, contributing to affirming the brand of local agricultural products..., helping farmer members to be more confident in the integration and development process.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Xuan Liem requested all levels of the Farmers' Association to take advantage of the province's advantages, focus on directing innovation, improving the quality of the farmers' movement to compete in good production and business, unite to help each other get rich and sustainably reduce poverty, associated with effectively implementing national target programs, projects, programs and plans for socio-economic development of the province.

We recommend that the commended farmers continue to promote their achievements, strive to become the core of the patriotic emulation movement; be willing to share experiences and good practices, and help poor farmers to grow rich sustainably.

On this occasion, 64 farming households were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; 33 farming households were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Farmers' Association for their outstanding achievements in the movement of good farmers in production and business, period 2020-2025.
