Vietnam women's basketball team twins achieve high academic results in the US

In addition to their impressive basketball skills, Thao My - Thao Vy are also praised for their impressive academic achievements at Gonzaga University, USA.

According to an announcement from Gonzaga University (Washington, USA), twins Truong Thao My (Kayleigh Truong) - Truong Thao Vy (Kaylynne Truong) are on two special lists "Dean's List" and "President's List" of the spring semester.

Specifically, Thao My is on the "Dean's List". This is a list for students who have an average score of 3.5-3.84 for the entire semester. Meanwhile, the "President's List" is for students who have an average score of 3.85 or higher.

Thao Vy is one of two members of the school's women's basketball team named to the "President's List". Previously, Vy won the title of best player in the West Coast region, and helped the school's women's basketball team win the Regular Season championship.

Although they actively participate in sports activities, the two sisters still ensure their studies. They pursue the goal of "no matter where we go, we must be together".

Thao My and Thao Vy were born in 2001 and grew up in Houston, Texas, USA. My is the older sister and Vy is the younger sister.

Their passion for basketball was inspired by their father, who was an avid fan of the sport .

Every time there is a competition, both of them return to Vietnam to practice and bring the colors of their homeland to the field. They first played for Vietnam when participating in the ABL 3x3 International Champions Cup (ABL ICC 2022). The team won the championship.

In 2022, the twins also joined the 3x3 women's basketball team to win the first silver medal for Vietnamese basketball at the 31st SEA Games .

Notably, in early May, the two sisters and the Vietnamese 3x3 basketball team won the first gold medal in SEA Games history.
