Ho Tram Casino is piloting to allow Vietnamese to gamble.

After much waiting, The Grand Ho Tram (HCMC) has officially piloted allowing Vietnamese people to play in the casino area of this resort. This decision was made in Resolution No. 8/2025/NQ-CP dated November 26, 2025 of the Government on allowing qualified Vietnamese people to play in casinos at some casino business projects.

In addition to Ho Tram casino, the Government continues to allow casinos in Phu Quoc and Van Don to pilot allowing Vietnamese people to gamble.

According to Mr. Walt Power, this pilot program is an opportunity for integrated resorts to demonstrate their contribution to national tourism development, create jobs for local workers, and promote economic growth, while maintaining strict compliance, transparency and integrity.

“The pilot program to welcome domestic visitors is expected to contribute to diversifying tourism products in the Ho Tram area, increasing budget revenue and creating more job and investment opportunities for the local community,” Mr. Walt Power emphasized.

The Grand Ho Tram Resort has officially piloted allowing Vietnamese people to play in the casino.

The Grand Ho Tram is one of the leading resort complexes in Vietnam, granted an investment certificate since 2008. One of the notable items of this project is a large-scale casino, however, since officially coming into operation in 2013, it has only been allowed to welcome foreigners.

The Grand Ho Tram investor has proposed many times to pilot allowing Vietnamese people to play, and now, it has been officially approved, opening an important turning point for the Project.

Under the pilot program, The Grand Ho Tram will operate under the strict supervision of state management agencies and implement comprehensive safeguards to ensure transparent and safe participation. These measures include strict entry control procedures, and responsible entertainment program design to ensure development principles and social safety policies.

The Grand Ho Tram representative also affirmed that it will continue to introduce a responsible gaming management framework, built on the model of advanced international markets such as Singapore and Macau. This framework includes the establishment of an Information Center right on the complex to provide guidance and support materials for guests, along with a staff training program to identify and support risky behaviors.

In addition, the program also applies a voluntary participation restriction mechanism, allowing players to limit or suspend their participation, along with community communication activities to raise awareness of responsible entertainment.
