“Doan Ngoc Tan is a senior that I always admire and look up to as an example. As an older brother, Tan always guides and instructs the young players on the team, always encouraging us every day to improve and learn,” Le Van Thuan said about his senior before the afternoon practice session of June 2 of U22 Vietnam.
Le Van Thuan belongs to Thanh Hoa team, this is the first time he has been called up to U22 Vietnam. The young midfielder expressed his admiration and always considers his senior Doan Ngoc Tan as an example to strive for.
Van Thuan had an outstanding performance in the National U21 tournament and was promoted to the first team of the Thanh team, playing in the V.League. In this gathering with the U22 Vietnam team, Van Thuan hopes that his efforts will be recognized and he will continue to be given opportunities in the following gatherings.
“The first time I was called up to the U23 Vietnam team, I was very honored and proud. This is a great opportunity for me to learn and try hard. I will work hard with the whole team towards the goals ahead. I don’t know what the future holds, but I will try to continue to be called up and have a position in the upcoming U23 Southeast Asia team as well as the SEA Games at the end of the year,” Van Thuan continued.
When asked about coach Kim Sang-sik, the Thanh player hopes to have the opportunity to work with the Korean strategist in the future. “Coach Kim Sang-sik, I have never worked with him. However, I often watch the team's matches, if I have the opportunity, I hope to work with him,” he concluded.
