70 years ago, the Geneva Agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Vietnam was signed, opening a new page in the struggle for national liberation and reunification of our people. President Ho Chi Minh and the Party Central Committee made a strategic decision to send a large number of children of cadres, soldiers and compatriots from the South to the North to continue their studies, in order to train cadres for the Party's long-term revolutionary cause.
This was not only a normal troop transfer, but also a troop transfer with the strategic vision of our Party to train and foster a team of cadres and soldiers to both contribute to the cause of building socialism in the North and prepare forces for the struggle to liberate the South.
