With 3 chapters “Aspiration for Peace”, “Will for Independence and Unification” and “We Proudly Go Up! Oh Vietnam”, the television show “Forever the Triumphant Song” interweaves the past and present, recreating the heroic history of the nation, demonstrating historical lessons, the spirit of solidarity, and highlighting the country’s achievements throughout the journey of construction and development.
The chapter opens with a message of aspiration for peace. These are precious documentary films that recreate the painful but resilient historical context, when the whole nation was forced to take up arms to protect independence. The epic artistic performances, from folk songs to contemporary ensembles, deeply depict the indomitable will of the nation.
In chapter 2, “The Will for Independence and Unification”, there is a special reportage on Tet Mau Than 1968, the battle of Quang Tri Citadel in 1972 and the Paris Agreement in 1973 – historical milestones that changed the situation of the war in Vietnam. Interspersed with these are artistic performances combining 3D mapping technology, vividly recreating the moment when our army entered the Independence Palace, bringing viewers back to the important historical moment.
The final chapter “We are proud to go up! Oh Vietnam”, is also the message from the historical lesson connected with the country’s achievements today, affirming the stature of the Southern Liberation event on April 30 in the journey of national development. Here, the audience enjoyed modern art performances, from grand choirs to brilliant fireworks, lighting up pride and aspirations for the future.
Some impressive images at the TV bridge "Forever the Triumphant Song":
The highlight of the program is the MV “The Road We Choose” with the participation of 50 faces representing many different fields, industries and professions; the performance “Homeland Vietnam” with the participation of many ambassadors and their husbands and wives from different countries, students and 20 beauty queens, runners-up and beauties in Ao Dai.
Contributing to recreating the country's historical years are reports spanning 20 years and the appearance of many historical witnesses, helping the audience, especially young people, better understand the Great Victory of Spring 1975.
Notably, at the Ho Chi Minh City bridge, a meeting and exchange of memorabilia took place between an American veteran and a family of a martyr in Vietnam. Mr. Adolph Novello, while participating in the war in Vietnam, collected many documents. He brought those memorabilia and papers back to the US, kept them in a box for 50 years and wished to return these documents and memorabilia to the martyr's family.
The meeting and exchange of mementos with relatives right on the stage of the program is an emotional highlight of understanding, sympathy and the desire to close the past and look towards the future. The artistic performances in the program "Vang mai khuc khai hoan" are staged on a grand scale in the 3 regions of North - Central - South with diverse forms of expression such as: MV, live scenes, animations... with many rich musical colors.
With the emotional performances of many famous artists such as: People's Artist Ta Minh Tam, Meritorious Artist Hong Lien, Meritorious Artist Quynh Huong, Meritorious Artist Hoang Tung, Meritorious Artist Pham The Vi; singers Tung Duong, Pham Thu Ha, Khanh Linh, Anh Bang, S. Jmi Ko, Tang Thanh Nam, Anh Tu, Ha Le, singer Kieu Anh, Hoang Dung, Suboi, Thanh Le... and a series of songs that have accompanied the years selected by the program such as "Cau ho ben bo Hien Luong", "Giai phong mien Nam", "Tren cong truong noi tieng ca", "Ha Noi niem tin va hy", "Tien ve Sai Gon", "Ta vo van di len! Oh Viet Nam", "Que huong Viet Nam"... brought the audience back to proud historical milestones.
Throughout the duration of the teleconference, the audience was able to relive the heroic history of the journey to national reunification. The program evoked deep emotions and gratitude for the great sacrifices of the previous generation, the people who fell in exchange for independence and freedom for the nation.
That loss is painful, but also a source of pride when looking back at the achievements that blood, sweat and tears have exchanged for, thereby urging each person to continue the tradition of their ancestors, joining hands to build an increasingly powerful and prosperous Vietnam.
