8,363 Quang Tri candidates enter 10th grade entrance exam

This morning, May 30, 8,363 candidates in Quang Tri officially entered the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools in the 2025-2026 school year. This is the first year the 10th grade entrance exam is organized according to the 2018 General Education Program, with many new points in form, content and admission regulations according to Circular No. 30/2024/TT-BGDDT.

This year's exam was held at 29 examination councils with more than 33 examination sites across the province, of which 4 examination councils had 2 examination sites. About 1,565 staff and teachers were mobilized to participate in the examination supervision work at more than 33 examination sites. All candidates took the exam in 3 common subjects: Math with a time limit of 90 minutes; Literature 120 minutes; English 60 minutes.

Candidates who wish to take the entrance exam for specialized classes at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted will have to take an additional specialized subject exam according to their registered wishes, with a test time of 150 minutes tomorrow, May 31.

This year, nearly 500 candidates registered for the 10th grade entrance exam at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted. In the 2025-2026 school year, the school will enroll 284 students, divided into 9 classes. Of which, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, Information Technology, History - Geography, each subject has 1 class and English has 2 classes.

Inspecting the organization of the exam at the Dong Ha High School Examination Council, Director of the Department of Education and Training Le Thi Huong highly appreciated the preparation and organization of the exam by the examination council. She requested the council to fully implement the regulations, ensure the exam takes place seriously; pay attention to the health and safety of candidates and staff on duty during the exam in the face of the severe heat of the weather.

Sending wishes to the candidates, the Director of the Department of Education and Training hopes that they will be calm and confident to achieve the highest results; schools and examination councils will create all favorable conditions for the exam to take place successfully.

According to reporters at testing sites across the province, although the time to call candidates to the testing room started at 7:00, many candidates were already present by 6:15. They arrived early to take advantage of the time to review their knowledge, and at the same time, fully prepare their exam cards, citizen identification cards, handheld calculators... ready for the first test.

The officers, supervisors, inspectors and security forces assigned to work at the exam sites were also present early, directing traffic, guiding candidates where to park their vehicles and leave their personal belongings so that they could start the first exam smoothly. According to the exam schedule, this morning the students will take the Math and English exams, starting at 7:30 am.

Teacher Le Cong Hung, Chairman of the Examination Council at Cam Lo High School, Cam Lo District, said that Cam Lo High School had 289 candidates registered to take the exam. From early morning, all candidates were present to complete the exam procedures. The Examination Council did a good job in ensuring security, order, health care , drinking water, etc.

In addition, the support for candidates also received special attention from the volunteer youth team in the Exam Support Team through providing 15 free boxes of filtered water; encouraging candidates to be confident and do well on the test.
