Quang Tri Youth Pioneers in Digital Transformation

Previously, Ms. Phan Thi Tham (57 years old), in Hien Thanh commune, Vinh Linh district, encountered many difficulties when registering for an electronic identification account due to limited technological knowledge. With the enthusiastic guidance of the members and youth in the Community Digital Technology Group, up to now, she has not only registered for a level 2 electronic identification code but also mastered the installation and use of banking applications on smartphones.

Established since 2022, up to now, the Community Digital Technology Teams in Vinh Linh district have contributed to raising people's awareness of digital transformation. With 18 Community Digital Technology Teams covering all communes and towns, helping people easily access useful applications from digital technology to serve their lives and work.

Secretary of Vinh Linh District Youth Union Le Minh Thai emphasized that union members and youth have promoted their pioneering role in bringing digital technology platforms and digital skills to the people. Young people have actively informed and widely disseminated the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on digital transformation to every household and resident in the village and neighborhood. Youth are the force with the ability to access and master technology most quickly. With our existing digital knowledge and skills, we are proud to become the core force, dedicated to guiding and supporting people to access digital applications and platforms, contributing to promoting the process of digital transformation of the community in a profound and effective way.

Not only Vinh Linh district, the Community Digital Technology Team has become a core force, providing practical and effective support for digital transformation work in the area. Up to now, the whole province has established 115 Community Digital Technology Teams at the commune level, attracting the participation of thousands of members, of which union members and youth account for a significant proportion.

With the spirit of effort and desire for creativity, Quang Tri youth have proactively implemented many good models and effective methods, realizing the consistent viewpoint of digital transformation with people and businesses at the center, aiming at the goal of developing the digital economy , gradually building a digital society and forming digital citizens. Thanks to that, people and businesses can truly access and enjoy the achievements that digital transformation brings.

Typical of these are maintaining and effectively implementing practical activities such as supporting people to install Electronic Health Book; guiding the installation and exploitation of VNeID application, the province's online public service portal; popularizing and supporting the use of electronic payment services. Actively guiding people to access, install and use digital services to serve essential needs in the fields of health,education , and social policy through digital platforms.

In particular, a prominent initiative is the construction and installation of QR codes at 10 national relic sites in the province. This QR code not only provides detailed information in both Vietnamese and English about the history and culture of the relics but also integrates a guidebook on Quang Tri specialties and useful information for tourists.

At the same time, the Provincial Youth Union also promotes digital transformation activities within the organization, spreading to union members, youth and society. Union bases apply information technology and social networks in direction, management and communication, increasing the application of platforms such as Zalo, Zoom, Google Meet to replace traditional meeting methods, helping to innovate working methods, improve operational efficiency, connect and share data in union work and youth movements.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union Nguyen Quoc Toan emphasized: “With their dynamism, creativity and sensitivity to science and technology, young people have become the core force in the construction and comprehensive development of the province in the future. Accessing and mastering digital transformation requires “digital citizens” and young people are the force with the fastest ability to access and absorb.

In recent times, the Community Digital Technology Teams have demonstrated a pioneering spirit, responsibility and remarkable creativity in implementing digital transformation movements and activities. Union members and young people with their youthful energy, dynamism, ability to adapt quickly and aspiration to contribute will be an important human resource, contributing to the overall development of their homeland and country. And I believe that Quang Tri youth will actively contribute to the successful realization of the set goals and tasks of digital transformation.
