Terminate operations and replace water supply sources for 19 water plants

The water plant in Tan Minh commune is not operating up to standards and must stop operating and replace the water source in the near future.

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, through reviewing and evaluating the operating status of water plants in rural areas, currently in the city there are 19 water supply works (water plants) with unstable water quality that do not meet standards, including: Bac Hung, Kien Thiet, Quang Phuc, Vinh Quang, Tay Hung, Tien Thanh, Khoi Nghia, Toan Thang, Doan Lap, Cap Tien, Tien Minh, Bach Dang, Hung Thang, An Son, Kenh Giang, Doan Lap, An Thang, Thang Thuy, Ky Son.

Of which, 18 are small-scale projects, with capacity from 200 ^m3 /day and night to less than 1000 ^m3 /day and night; water treatment systems, water distribution pipeline systems to consumers have degraded; raw water sources for clean water production exploited from irrigation works serving agricultural production are polluted.

1 project has been renovated and upgraded with a scale of over ^1,000m3 /day and night, but the quality of the water supply does not meet the standards because the raw water source supplied to the factory is polluted. In particular, the water source is seasonally saline, from November of the previous year to April of the following year, the raw water source has a salinity level that often exceeds the allowable threshold.

In order to ensure clean water for the people, the Department of Agriculture and Environment proposed that the city assign the People's Committees of communes and wards to continue to terminate operations and replace water supply sources for 19 water plants according to the plan of the City People's Committee.

After completing the termination of operations, continue to handle assets according to the provisions of the Land Law. The time to complete the termination of operations and replace the water supply source is before December 31, 2025; complete the handling of assets in the second quarter of 2026.
