"Rebirth of Ao Dai - Design from Hue wool" is one of 30 startup projects participating in the semi-finals of the Competition.

The competition is organized annually by the People's Committee of Hue City to encourage and build the spirit of entrepreneurship for youth, women, students, lecturers, scientists , investors, especially businesses and people in the city, creating a spread of entrepreneurial spirit in the community.

This is also an opportunity to select, search, select, honor, and incubate potential ideas and projects of science and technology, contributing to the realization of startup ideas and projects. The competition is also an opportunity for investors, businesses, and support funds to approach and accompany promising projects, thereby expanding the cooperation network, attracting more resources, and strongly spreading the spirit of innovation in the community.

Speaking at the opening of the semi-final round of the Competition, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Director of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Chairman of the Jury Council of the Competition, emphasized that over the years, Hue city has always identified science and technology, innovation and digital transformation as the foundation and key driving force for socio -economic development. The Hue City Startup Competition has been held annually since 2016, becoming an important highlight, affirming the city's determination to nurture and promote the spirit of startups, while contributing to increasing both the quantity and quality of businesses, creating momentum for the sustainable development of the innovative startup ecosystem.

This year, entering its 10th year, the Competition attracted 94 applications, the highest number ever. Based on the preliminary round results, the Organizing Committee selected 30 outstanding startup ideas and projects to participate in the semi-finals, projects that converge creativity, commercialization potential and clear social value.

In the semi-final round of the Competition, the Organizing Committee will conduct a judging process to select potential startup ideas and projects to enter the final round of the Competition. The final round and the conference to summarize and award the Competition are expected to be held in October-November 2025.
