TPO - National player Nguyen Trong Hoang has excellently won the Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025 at Thien Duong Golf Course - Legend Valley Country Club (Ninh Binh), affirming his leading position in the Vietnamese golf community and opening up opportunities to strongly prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.

On November 15, Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025 ended in a vibrant atmosphere at Thien Duong Golf Course - Legend Valley Country Club ( Ninh Binh ), where National player Nguyen Trong Hoang excellently won the championship with a score of 71 strokes (-1).

What is special is that before this year's tournament, Trong Hoang had never played at Thien Duong Golf Course - Legend Valley Country Club. The golfer born in 2010 only had one test session on November 14, just one day before the official competition day.

Despite limited conditions to get used to the field, Trong Hoang still showed quick adaptation and rare competitive spirit, overcoming a series of strong opponents such as Nguyen Duc Son, Nguyen Viet Gia Han... to step up to the top of the tournament's glory for the first time.

The victory at Tien Phong Golf Championship 2025 is even more meaningful because Trong Hoang participated in the tournament in 2022 and 2023, but never touched the championship title. Returning after two incomplete seasons and then winning the title right at the brand new course, has become a clear proof of the remarkable maturity of the golfer born in 2010 in the past three years.

At Dalat Palace Golf Club, in cold weather and challenging terrain, Trong Hoang overcame experienced golfers such as reigning national champion Nguyen Tuan Anh or SEA Games 32 champion Le Khanh Hung to become the youngest champion in the history of the tournament. This achievement also helped him become the first Vietnamese golfer to secure a place at SEA Games 33.

Trong Hoang continued his impressive form at the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025, where he finished in the group of 4 strongest golfers of the tournament. The golfer born in 2010 has increasingly improved his playing style with stable drives and more refined game control. In the most stressful moments, Trong Hoang has shown his competitive spirit far beyond his 15 years of age.

Trong Hoang shared that participating in the SEA Games is a great honor and pride. From 2022 to 2025, Nguyen Trong Hoang's journey is a series of continuous progress. In 2022, he won the SINGHA Thailand Junior World Golf Championship and the Palm Resort Junior Open in Malaysia. A year later, Hoang continued to make his mark with the Junior Asian Tour championship in Thailand, appearing on the WAGR rankings for the first time. In 2024, he won the runner-up position at the Maha Junior International Invitational before making an important milestone at the VAO 2025.
