Immediately after the merger, the Commune Party Committee issued a specialized Resolution on maintaining and improving the quality of NTM criteria, defining the consistent goal as "Comprehensive and sustainable development, towards a green, clean, rich, beautiful, safe and happy countryside".
We agree that the construction of advanced new rural areas must be closely linked to socio -economic development, agricultural restructuring, improving people's lives and perfecting infrastructure. All of these put people at the center, as the subject and driving force of the development process.
Thanks to that approach, the commune economy has continuously grown at an average rate of 6% per year, the average income per capita has reached 54 million VND, the poverty rate has decreased to about 2%. The total capital mobilized for the construction of the new rural area in 5 years has reached nearly 93 billion VND, of which more than 60% is contributed by the people, this is a testament to the spirit of solidarity, self-reliance and sense of community ownership. Along with production development, Chan Thinh focuses on investing in essential infrastructure.

In recent times, the commune has built and repaired 17 works, made 78 km of concrete roads, 100% of inter-village roads, village axes and 90% of alleys and hamlets have been concreted. Electricity, irrigation systems, schools, medical stations, and cultural houses have been invested synchronously, creating an increasingly spacious and modern rural appearance. Notably, the commune has formed concentrated production areas: 79 hectares of mulberry, 67 hectares of Bat Do bamboo shoots, 555 hectares of oranges, 580 hectares of raw tea... These specialized areas not only bring high economic value but also create a foundation for OCOP products.

Many households in Chan Thinh have boldly changed the crop structure, forming highly effective integrated garden - forest - farm economic models. Ms. Le Thi Lan, Bang La 1 village shared: "My family currently intercrops fruit trees such as dragon fruit, lychee, oranges, tangerines... These are trees suitable for the land in the area. Every year, dragon fruit is harvested from May to November, oranges and tangerines are harvested from October to the end of the year. Together with more than 4 hectares of forest, my family has a stable source of income." Currently, Bang La 1 village is planned by the commune as an area for growing Bat Do bamboo shoots and specialty fruit trees, gradually forming a commodity production area according to the value chain.

According to comrade Hoang Duc Hanh, in the coming period, the commune will continue to support households in applying technical advances, granting codes for growing areas, tracing the origin of products, and striving to have at least 7 OCOP products with 3 stars or more by 2030. To achieve the goal of meeting the standards of an advanced NTM commune by 2028, Chan Thinh has identified 6 key groups of solutions. Specifically, the commune focuses on developing high-quality human resources for NTM such as promoting vocational training for rural workers associated with production needs, strongly shifting the labor structure to non- agricultural sectors; striving to have the rate of trained workers reach 85% by 2030, of which over 36% have degrees and certificates. Transforming production structure, developing green and circular agriculture: Reorganizing production according to the value chain, focusing on expanding key crop areas such as tea, oranges, bamboo shoots, mulberry associated with VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards; develop organic agriculture, reduce chemical use, protect the environment...

Along with that, focus on synchronous investment in rural infrastructure. Mobilize resources to open new and solidify 85 km of roads, upgrade irrigation systems, electricity systems, domestic water, cultural and sports facilities, creating a solid foundation for advanced NTM criteria. The commune also strengthens environmental protection, afforestation and ecological development, effectively implements waste classification at source, strives to collect and treat 90% of solid waste, maintains forest cover rate of over 65%, links economic development with landscape conservation, forest ecology... In addition, Chan Thinh will promote digital transformation in agriculture and administrative management; focus on promoting democracy, enhancing the role of the people as subjects; promote the movements "Skilled mass mobilization", "All people unite to build a cultural life" so that all people can participate and enjoy the results of development.

With the right direction and spirit of solidarity, Chan Thinh is gradually achieving its goals on the journey of building an advanced and sustainable new rural area.
