Royal De Heus Group said that from January 1, 2025, Mr. Gabor Fluit will officially assume the position of General Director of the Group.
De Heus is a famous Dutch animal feed manufacturer with over 110 years of establishment and development. In 2022, De Heus achieved an output of 10 million tons of animal feed produced in 1 year and became one of the 10 largest animal feed manufacturers in the world .
Mr. Gabor Fluit officially took on the position of General Director of Royal De Heus Group - one of the 10 largest animal feed manufacturers in the world.
Mr. Gabor Fluit was born in 1979, joined De Heus Group in 2008 and has 16 years of experience working at De Heus Asia Headquarters in Vietnam. He has been the one who has built a solid foundation for De Heus in the Vietnamese market from the very beginning as well as in the Southeast Asia region. His strategy from the very beginning has been to focus strongly on supporting independent livestock and aquaculture farmers, ensuring they have access to the tools and resources to be successful in livestock farming.
Under Mr. Gabor's leadership, De Heus's business operations have always focused on product and service quality, while setting high standards, building De Heus' strong reputation in the region.
In 2012, De Heus began to expand into new areas in Vietnam, typically the acquisition of a fish feed factory in Vinh Long , marking an important milestone when officially entering the aquaculture industry. Also from 2012, De Heus began exporting animal feed and nutrition products to Myanmar and Cambodia, and at the same time built a new factory in Myanmar.
In 2016, De Heus inaugurated an aquaculture R&D center in the Mekong Delta, becoming the first enterprise to have a professional, modern research center in the aquaculture sector in Vietnam. This has made De Heus a leading company in aquaculture feed, with specialized feed lines dedicated to key aquaculture species.

In 2017, De Heus built its second factory in Myanmar and launched its first leased feed mill in India. Following that success, in 2028 De Heus acquired Universal Agri Bisnisindo, marking a major milestone in entering the Indonesian feed market and quickly establishing a strong position in one of the fastest growing livestock markets in the region.
After that, De Heus consecutively acquired 2 feed factories in Indonesia, making it De Heus's 2nd largest market in Asia (after Vietnam), with the goal of reaching an output of 1 million tons of animal feed by 2025.
In 2018, Mr. Gabor Fluit was appointed Regional Sales Director for Asia and then General Director of Royal De Heus Group in Asia. Accordingly, Mr. Gabor is responsible for all business and development activities in the Asian market.
From here, De Heus continued to have "explosive" developments in the rapidly growing Asian market. Specifically, after 8 years of exporting animal feed to Cambodia, De Heus officially produced the first batch of feed at a new factory near Phnom Penh, after establishing a joint venture with partner Thy Mean Heng (De Heus TMH).

In 2021, Mr. Gabor made many people admire him when he decided to buy the entire animal feed sector of Masan Group, merging the Proconco and Anco brands into the Group's brand chain.
At that time, this deal caused a "shock" in the livestock market, because at that time Masan owned 13 animal feed factories and 1 Premix factory, with a total capacity of nearly 4 million tons of animal feed for livestock (pigs, cows), poultry (chickens, ducks, quails) and aquatic products (fish, shrimp).
Explaining this bold decision, Mr. Gabor said: The main goal of this deal is to help us own factories across the country, helping De Heus become the leader in the independent animal feed market. Accordingly, owning 14 more factories will help us reduce transportation costs and facilitate delivery.
“In animal husbandry, the most important thing is how to manage costs well and increase profits. Owning many factories will help us get closer to farmers, and they will have more choices. Just helping farmers reduce costs at one stage means we help them increase profits,” said the global CEO of De Heus, adding that after the merger, the factories have continuously invested in upgrading new, modern production lines according to international standards.
With a capacity of 3 million tons/year, De Heus Vietnam's animal feed output accounts for about 25% of De Heus Group's total output globally.

Every time he visits the factory, Mr. Gabor says he gets excited when he smells the aroma of animal feed, because that's also the job that many De Heus employees do every day.
“I think we are particularly good at this because we have a strict quality control process, efficient production processes and well-established R&D centers. This helps De Heus maintain consistent quality. When I talk to customers all over the world, they say they like working with De Heus because of the consistent and reliable quality. That is why De Heus is constantly innovating at the feed mill and the premix plant, to provide the highest quality products to the farms,” said Gabor.
Mr. Gabor believes that with a team of talented human resources, strong financial potential and a solid foundation system, De Heus will achieve many new achievements in the future.
