Promoting the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers", in recent times, cadres and members of the provincial Veterans Association have effectively implemented the "Exemplary Veterans" movement for the period 2019-2024, promoting the pioneering, exemplary, intelligence and strength of each cadre and member, thereby contributing to building the province to become increasingly rich, beautiful and civilized.
Imbued with Uncle Ho's teaching "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation", to effectively implement the "Exemplary Veterans" movement, the Association at all levels has promoted propaganda work, mobilizing members to be active, take the lead in implementing and implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, building a clean and strong Association; widely launching the "Exemplary Veterans" emulation movement in conjunction with patriotic emulation movements and campaigns of localities and Association organizations such as: "Exemplary Veterans compete to do good business ", "Exemplary Veterans join hands to build new rural areas (NTM)", comradely love... Specifically, to build the Association, the Association at all levels focuses on developing members, ensuring the right subjects and standards. Every year, thousands of new members are admitted, bringing the total number of members in the province to 112,792. The entire Association currently has 36,059 Party members, of which 9,459 comrades participate in the Party Committee; 1,949 members are delegates of People's Councils at all levels. This is the core force, directly participating in building and protecting the Party and government at the grassroots level. Annually, 96% of grassroots Associations have achieved the title of Strong Member, no weak grassroots Association; 94% of branches have achieved the title of Strong Member; 92% of member families have achieved the title of "Cultural Family"; 97% of members have achieved the title of "Exemplary Member".
Implementing the movement "War Veterans compete to do good business", along with propaganda and mobilizing members to promote the spirit of self-reliance, solidarity and mutual assistance in economic development, the Association at all levels coordinates with departments, branches and organizations to open science and technology training courses, vocational training for members; review the number of poor members to have appropriate forms of support in terms of capital, plants and breeds; help members access loan sources... Accordingly, the Association at all levels has stood up to guarantee with many financial institutions and banks to help members borrow capital. Up to now, the Provincial Association of War Veterans is managing capital through channels with outstanding loans of over 641 billion VND for thousands of members. According to the assessment, members have used the loan capital for the right purpose, repaying principal and interest on time. In particular, from the loan capital, many members have risen up to escape poverty and become rich legitimately. Up to now, the number of poor members in the province has decreased to 0.13%, near-poor households have decreased to 1.48%, and the number of well-off and rich war veteran households has increased to over 65%. The whole province currently has 42 cooperatives, 44 cooperative groups, 122 farms, 2,173 households, and 1,461 service business households owned by war veteran members. Of these, 13 enterprises have a revenue of 50 billion VND/year, and 5 cooperatives and farms have a revenue of over 10 billion VND/year.

Implementing activities for comradeship, every year, the Association at all levels coordinates with functional agencies to participate in reviewing and approving cadres and members to receive subsidies according to State regulations. Over the past 5 years, the Provincial Association of War Veterans has participated in reviewing and proposing policies for thousands of cases. To date, over 63,352 members have been granted health insurance cards. Along with that, the Provincial Association of War Veterans also organizes activities such as "Repaying gratitude", "Drinking water, remembering its source", lighting candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs, visiting "red addresses", visiting and giving gifts to members in difficult circumstances, sick, seriously ill... On the occasion of holidays and Tet, the Association at all levels visited and gave gifts to 18,000 members in difficult circumstances, policy families, worth over 3 billion VND; built and repaired 251 gratitude houses; In coordination with the Viet My General Clinic and the Hanoi - Nam Dinh Eye Hospital, we provided free health examinations and consultations to over 8,000 cadres and members; sent 125 war veterans and former youth volunteers to receive treatment at the Vietnam Friendship Village; organized over 100 delegations with nearly 3,000 cadres and members to visit old battlefields and "red addresses"; and coordinated with the Education Promotion Association at all levels to award 11,795 students who are children and grandchildren of war veterans in difficult circumstances who have overcome difficulties to excel in their studies.
Joining hands to build new rural areas, the Association of War Veterans at all levels in the province has coordinated with sectors and organizations to promote propaganda and mobilize cadres and members to actively participate in building advanced and exemplary new rural areas. With the motto "War veterans set good examples, contribute ideas and contribute to building new rural areas", 100% of the Association's bases have registered to undertake work in the criteria for building advanced and exemplary new rural areas, especially difficult criteria such as environmental sanitation, security and order (ANTT)... From 2019 to present, the whole province has donated 26,808m2 of land; supported over 13.9 billion VND and 62,432 working days; Coordinated with forces to plant 149,104 trees... Implementing the criteria on security and order, the Association at all levels has established and maintained "Reconciliation Teams", "News Teams", "Traffic Safety Teams", "War Veterans for the People" teams... Currently, the whole province has 1,645 "Reconciliation Teams"; 2,450 People's Inspection Committees, 377 self-managed teams to protect security and order; 1,720 "War Veterans for the People" teams, 1,000 "News Teams"; 1,405 "Traffic Safety Teams"; 23 "Self-managed War Veterans Teams"... The above teams have promoted their role and responsibility in detecting and advising competent agencies to handle and resolve many cases related to site clearance, regimes and policies; participated in effectively implementing the work of disseminating laws, educating and rehabilitating offenders to reintegrate into the community. At the same time, coordinate with relevant agencies, sectors and organizations to propagate and educate national defense knowledge for cadres, members and people. Actively participating in building new rural areas, the Association at all levels also widely deploys emulation movements: "All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas"; the movement "War veterans do not have children dropping out of school, do not have a third child, do not violate security and order, traffic safety and social evils". In addition, the Association of War Veterans at all levels also encourages relatives and families to set an example in implementing regulations on weddings, funerals, festivals; build a cultural lifestyle. Coordinate in developing plans, practicing defense zones, building militia and self-defense forces, flood and storm prevention, rescue, etc., contributing to building a national defense posture associated with a people's security posture in the area.
With the achieved results, it can be affirmed that the emulation movement "Exemplary War Veterans" contributes to improving the lives of members, effectively implementing poverty reduction work, and building an increasingly strong Association. In the period of 2019-2024, the Provincial War Veterans Association was awarded 1 Emulation Flag, 2 Certificates of Merit by the Government; the Central Committee of the Vietnam War Veterans Association awarded 2 Emulation Flags; the Provincial People's Committee awarded 1 Emulation Flag, 3 Certificates of Merit; many collectives and individuals were awarded at all levels...
The results achieved are the motivation for all levels of the Provincial Veterans Association to continue to strive to improve operational efficiency, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the locality, affirming the bravery and qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new situation.
