Minister Dao Hong Lan went to the hospital bed at the Department of Surgical Resuscitation - National Children's Hospital to directly ask the doctors about the health of MTA ( Nam Dinh ).
Reporting on the child's health, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Dien - Director of the National Children's Hospital, said that immediately after receiving TA from Nam Dinh General Hospital, the doctors urgently ordered tests and CT scans to assess the child's condition. Because the child was run over by a homemade tricycle, his condition was very serious. The doctors performed emergency surgery that night.
"As of this morning, the child's condition has improved a lot. After 1 day on a ventilator, the child has been weaned off the ventilator and is breathing on his own. The patient has passed the critical stage. We will do our best to provide the best treatment for the child," Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Dien said.

Talking and encouraging the patient's parents, Minister Dao Hong Lan shared the family's concerns about the child's health and said that the National Children's Hospital is a leading specialized medical facility. Regarding the reflection that Nam Dinh General Hospital required full payment before providing emergency care to patients, Minister Dao Hong Lan said that immediately after receiving the information, the Minister requested the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management to send a document to the Director of Nam Dinh Department of Health to urgently direct a review of the process of receiving and treating emergency care for MTA at Nam Dinh General Hospital, comparing it with the provisions of Article 44 of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment and current regulations. At the same time, strictly handle individuals and groups if violations of the above regulations are detected.
The head of the health sector affirmed: "Currently, the Ministry of Health is focusing heavily on continuing to innovate the spirit and attitude of serving the people. Many criteria have been put forward to ensure people's satisfaction with the health sector. There have been regulations in the law and many directives and directions of the Ministry of Health up to now: Emergency and treatment for patients is always the top priority, no matter what the reason."

Minister Dao Hong Lan also said that to ensure objectivity, Nam Dinh Department of Health has invited the Internal Political Security Department - Nam Dinh Provincial Police to review all procedures for receiving and handling related to MTA's case.
The results will be reported to the Chairman of Nam Dinh Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Health for appropriate handling. The general spirit is that if there are violations, they will be strictly handled.
