Chau Bui enters the singing industry: Controversial expression, almost leaving the game early

From a fashionista (influencer in the fashion industry), Chau Bui suddenly entered the music industry in the program Em xinh say hi. This decision quickly created a lot of controversy, when many viewers were skeptical about her professional capacity and singing ability.

Right from the Livestage 1 round (competition round 1), Chau Bui surprised everyone when she became the team captain, along with contestants 52Hz, Lyhan, Yeolan and Anh Sang Aza, bringing a vibrant performance of Run . She attracted attention with her rapping, confident demeanor and ability to control the stage. Notably, Chau Bui not only performed but also participated in writing lyrics and coming up with staging ideas, contributing significantly to the overall success of the group.

However, despite having the opportunity to show off her voice with ballad music, Chau Bui still could not convince the majority of the audience. When the rankings of the "pretty girls" were announced, Chau Bui ranked 28th out of 30 contestants, near the bottom of the list, almost eliminated. MC Tran Thanh revealed that Chau Bui could have left the show early, but because the team had the most outstanding performance in Livestage 2, she was kept.

At Livestage 3, Chau Bui joined Phuong Ly's team, performing the song So bold but continued to be obscure in terms of expertise.

Not only that, her dance battle became a controversial topic on social media. The beauty's "wide-eyed, open-mouthed" expression was considered excessive and unnatural, making the performance awkward. Many comments said that she should have restrained herself to be more suitable for appearing on television.

After 3 rounds, Chau Bui still remained in the program, this caused a lot of debate. A part of the audience thought that she should give the opportunity to contestants with real ability like LyLy, Muoi, Dao Tu, Han Sara...

In response to doubts, Chau Bui once shared that she had been studying vocal music since 2019, when she was at the peak of her fashion career. For nearly 6 years, she pursued her music training silently, crying many times due to pressure but still determined not to give up.

Some viewers sympathized with Chau Bui, saying that she was serious and a perfectionist when participating in the program, contributing a lot to the idea building, image, and stage design. Some team members commented that she was focused, hard-working, and helped each member of the group shine.

In particular, the audience believes that Chau Bui also has the strong support of Binz - her boyfriend and also a famous rapper in the Vietnamese music industry. In a recent interview, Chau Bui revealed that Binz encouraged her to practice rapping for Em xinh say hi .

She said: "Chau has never really learned to rap. But he said that Chau can write: "It's not difficult, just write". Chau tried very hard for 3 days to sit down and think and write. So Chau accepted that this is her current best ability and she needs to accept that".
