Big fire broke out at Xuan Thoi Son market at night, many kiosks were burned down

On the night of September 21, a large fire broke out and spread quickly at Xuan Thoi Son market, Xuan Thoi Son commune, Ho Chi Minh City, burning down many kiosks and the property of small traders.

Initial information, at around 11pm the same day, people discovered smoke and fire coming from inside Xuan Thoi Son market on Nguyen Van Bua street. Because this area contained many flammable materials such as votive paper and household plastic items, the fire quickly spread, engulfing many stalls.

Residents and some traders tried to move furniture and property outside and put out the fire but were unsuccessful because the fire spread too quickly and strongly.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police quickly arrived at the scene, deploying fire fighting from many directions to prevent the fire from spreading. The fire was then quickly extinguished by the authorities.

The fire did not cause any human casualties but many kiosks were burned down and the corrugated iron roof collapsed.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire and assess the damage.
