Xiem Can Pagoda is considered by tourists to be the Khmer pagoda with the most splendid architecture in the South.
Ms. Lundi Sannara - Secretary of State of the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia visited the Khmer cultural exhibition house of Siam Can Pagoda.
Not only is it a center of religious activities and a space to preserve the cultural identity of the Khmer people, Xiem Can Pagoda has long been a familiar and attractive destination for tourists when coming to Ca Mau .
The main hall is the highlight of the temple's architectural complex.
Built nearly 140 years ago, Xiem Can Pagoda consists of many items such as walls, three-door gate, main hall, sala, bell tower, tomb tower, lecture hall... with characteristics of Angkor architecture. The most prominent is the main hall with the statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, reliefs, frescoes depicting the incarnations of Buddha along with a system of curved domes and sophisticated carvings.
Traditional cultural festivals at the pagoda attract a lot of people and tourists.

During the year, Xiem Can Pagoda hosts many large-scale traditional festivals such as Chol Chnam Thmay Festival, flower offering ceremony, Ok Om Bok festival... attracting tens of thousands of Buddhists and tourists to make pilgrimages and visit. As a key tourist destination of the province, the pagoda has received support from the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to invest in stages, develop a pentatonic band, and an art troupe to serve tourists from near and far.
