Big fire at Nam Cam Industrial Park

Nghe An: A factory of thousands of square meters of waste treatment company in Nam Cam Industrial Park caught fire fiercely on the morning of November 18.

At around 9:30 a.m., a fire broke out in the factory of the Green Star Waste Treatment Company in Nghi Quang Commune, Nghi Loc District. The factory was under construction, made of steel frames, corrugated iron roofs, and contained a lot of scrap paper and nylon bags, so the fire spread quickly, with black smoke rising dozens of meters high.

The Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Nghe An Provincial Police) mobilized 5 fire trucks and 30 soldiers to the scene, coordinating with local forces to spray water hoses to put out the fire.

At around 11:30 a.m., the fire was basically under control, and authorities deployed measures to prevent the risk of the fire spreading to neighboring areas. Initially, there were no reported casualties.

Police are examining the scene and investigating the cause of the fire.

Nam Cam Industrial Park is located on both sides of National Highway 1A, 18 km north of Vinh city. On an area of about 370 hectares, this industrial park gathers factories for assembling, manufacturing automobiles, machine tools, metallurgy, steel rolling, processing agricultural and forestry products and food, chemicals...

In Dong Nai province, at around 1 p.m., a fire suddenly broke out in the corner of a fruit shop and spread to the entire ground floor in Buu Long ward, Bien Hoa city. People shouted and used rudimentary tools to put out the fire on the spot, but were unsuccessful.

About 30 minutes later, the fire broke out and engulfed the entire house, then spread to the grocery store next door. The fire department dispatched two specialized vehicles and dozens of soldiers to put out the fire and assist people near the scene in moving their belongings. By 2 p.m., the fire was basically under control.

The fire did not cause any casualties, but many properties and two entire stores were burned down. The cause is under investigation.
