Việt NamViệt Nam12/05/2024

The fire broke out in the early morning of May 12. About 10 minutes after receiving the alarm, the first fire brigade arrived at the scene. However, due to the large amount of goods, including clothing items, and the dry weather, the fire spread quickly, almost destroying the entire shopping center.

Initial information shows that there were no human casualties, but almost all property was burned down.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Poland Ha Hoang Hai said that the shopping mall at 44 Marywilska is a large retail shopping mall in Poland with about 1,400 stalls, of which about 1/3 are owned by Vietnamese people.

Immediately after the incident, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs directed the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland to urgently send a working group to the scene, and closely coordinate with local authorities and the Association of Vietnamese in Poland to grasp the situation, encourage and visit people, and promptly deploy citizen protection work.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Poland has posted a citizen protection hotline to collect information from overseas Vietnamese, ready to support them in working with local authorities, the management board of the shopping mall, fire prevention and fighting forces and insurance companies to minimize the consequences of the fire.

In addition, for those who lost their documents in the fire, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland is ready to provide maximum support to promptly reissue new documents. At the same time, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland has also requested Polish authorities to promptly investigate the cause of the fire, ensuring full rights and interests of Vietnamese citizens.

Also this morning, the President of the Vietnamese Association in Poland, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh, said that the entire commercial center at 44 Marywilska, the capital of Poland, Warsaw, was almost completely burned down.

The Vietnamese Association in Poland is actively coordinating with the Embassy to gather information, encourage and visit people whose stalls were damaged in the fire and mobilize initial donations.
