The 'National Press Award on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control' organized by the Health & Life Newspaper in collaboration with the Department of Disease Prevention ( Ministry of Health ) has received positive responses from press agencies, reporters, collaborators and medical staff nationwide. Hundreds of works were sent to the Organizing Committee, vividly reflecting real stories of real people - real events, silent but inspiring journeys of dedication.
There are only a few days left until the deadline for entries. The Organizing Committee calls on writers to quickly submit their works, demonstrating the responsibility and heart of journalists with a sensitive and meaningful topic. This is not only a professional competition, but also an opportunity for the press to accompany the health sector and the community, contributing to the goal of "Vietnam ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030".

Hundreds of real stories of real people and real events, silent but inspiring journeys of dedication were sent to the Organizing Committee, recorded throughout Vietnam's 35-year journey of responding to HIV/AIDS.
Stories of hope amid the fight against HIV/AIDS
In Dong Nai , thanks to ARV drugs and the dedication of Dr. Bui Thi Thu Lieu , hundreds of HIV-infected women have given birth to healthy children. Their journey is a living testament to the "miracle" of medicine - but more than that, it is also a story of humanity, of the faith that doctors sow in the hearts of those who once despaired. "There are tears shed not because of pain, but because they are able to relive the dream of becoming a mother," Dr. Lieu once shared simply.

Doctor Bui Thi Thu Lieu, Head of Hung Phuoc Commune Health Station, is happy when each child is born healthy.
At Nhan Ai Hospital (Binh Phuoc) , known as "the home of special lives", Dr. Tran Kim Anh - Director of the hospital , and the team of doctors here have spent nearly 20 years quietly caring for, treating and sharing the physical and mental pain of HIV/AIDS patients. In a place that seems to be hopeless, they sow faith and hope with the tolerance, dedication and compassion of a doctor.
In Thua Thien Hue , officials like MSc. Nguyen Van My - Provincial HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control Center or Dr. Le Huu Son - Hue City Disease Control Center are still working hard every day on the front line of HIV infection prevention. They go to hot spots, meet with high-risk groups, provide counseling, testing and treatment to help them safely and confidently integrate into the community. These persistent efforts not only save lives, but also contribute to gradually eliminating prejudices in society.

Each work - a bridge of humanity
The 'National Journalism Award on HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control' encourages works in various forms - from journalistic reports, feature stories, character portraits, to multimedia, video clips... Each article, each frame, each voice can be a "bridge" to help the public better understand and sympathize with people living and fighting with HIV.
The representative of the Organizing Committee shared: "We are not looking for statistics, but for real stories - where readers can see humanity, determination and sympathy. The press not only reflects, but also contributes to healing the lives of those with determination, overcoming all barriers to contribute to the fight against HIV/AIDS."
Not only for professional journalists, the contest is also open to all Vietnamese citizens , including medical staff, media collaborators, and those who have worked with the HIV/AIDS program. This is an opportunity for their voices to be heard, for the public to better understand the steadfast journey of those on the front lines of medical care and the silent figures in the community.
There is not much time left to receive entries. The Organizing Committee hopes that in these final days, we will continue to receive many new works - reports, articles, and video clips full of passion, contributing to spreading the humane message of the fight against HIV/AIDS.
Each submitted work is not only a participation in a contest, but also an act of sharing, a way for journalists, medical workers, and all citizens to affirm together that: This war continues and the most precious thing is still faith, compassion and companionship .
