- On the afternoon of July 23, the Customs Branch of Region VI and the Lang Son Provincial Business Association jointly organized a conference to summarize 5 years of implementing the Coordination Regulations between the Customs Branch of Region VI (formerly the Lang Son Provincial Customs Department) and the Lang Son Provincial Business Association, period 2021-2025 to evaluate the effectiveness of cooperation between the two sides.

According to the report at the conference, over the past 5 years, the implementation of the Coordination Regulations between the Customs Branch of Region VI and the Lang Son Provincial Business Association has achieved many positive results.

In particular, implementing the coordination regulations, the Regional Customs Branch VI has issued 60 propaganda documents, providing information on training courses of the Vietnam Customs School and related units to member enterprises of the Lang Son Provincial Business Association; organized 8 conferences, training courses, etc. to disseminate and guide regulations related to the field of customs management for enterprises in the Provincial Business Association; border gate customs units also maintain support teams to receive and promptly resolve problems arising in the import and export activities of enterprises in the association...

Implementing the coordination regulations, over the past 5 years, the Lang Son Provincial Business Association has also actively promoted and connected member enterprises to participate in dialogue activities and training courses in the fields of activities related to the customs sector; gathered difficulties of member enterprises in import and export activities to make recommendations to customs agencies, thereby promptly resolving them for enterprises; supported connection, notification, and guidance for member enterprises to access and approach information channels of the Regional Customs Branch VI and the Vietnam Customs Department to learn and update administrative procedures, research information, policies, and related laws, etc.

After 5 years, the implementation of the coordination regulations between the Customs Branch of Region VI and the Lang Son Provincial Business Association has contributed to the good performance of the functions and tasks of both parties. At the same time, the implementation of the coordination regulations has promoted the partnership and companionship between the customs agency and the business community, thereby facilitating cross-border trade activities.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoan, Head of the Regional Customs Branch VI and Mr. Ho Phi Dung, Chairman of the Lang Son Provincial Business Association exchanged and discussed the results achieved in implementing the coordination regulations; clarified the limitations affecting the coordination work; reviewed the Draft of the new coordination regulations to replace the coordination regulations No. 1892/QCPH-HQLS-HHDN signed on July 22, 2021 to meet practical requirements and be suitable to the new situation.

Speaking at the conference, leaders of both sides affirmed that they will continue to strengthen coordination and diversify cooperation activities. In particular, the Lang Son Provincial Business Association will establish an Import-Export Business Association. The Region VI Customs Branch will support import-export businesses under the Provincial Business Association in all activities related to the customs sector.

To continue to improve coordination efficiency, the leaders of the Regional Customs Branch VI and the Lang Son Provincial Business Association have also agreed to adjust and supplement many related contents in accordance with the current practical situation into the draft of the new coordination regulations (coordination regulations for the period 2025 - 2030) to ensure effective implementation of the goals of both sides.

The continued implementation of the Coordination Regulations between the Customs Branch of Region VI and the Lang Son Business Association for the period 2025 - 2030 is an important step to enhance the customs - business cooperation relationship in the coming years.
