Ms. Luu Thi My Duyen - Director of Thien Phuc Dong Thap Bird's Nest Company Limited successfully started a business with products from bird's nest combined with lotus seeds.
Sharing her story of starting a business, Ms. Duyen confided that her family was in the business of trading construction materials. During a trip to Khanh Hoa province, when visiting a bird's nest farm, she realized that the potential and high economic efficiency of this profession was quite large and close to nature.
After this trip , Ms. Duyen began to learn and decided to invest in the "marriage" of raising swiftlets. With the advantage of Dong Thap having large rice and lotus fields, it provides an abundant source of food for swiftlets. Therefore, the products from bird's nests are of high quality with large size, thick and delicious bird's nest fibers. At first, the unit mainly sold raw bird's nests to manufacturing companies in Ho Chi Minh City. When the Covid-19 epidemic occurred, Ms. Duyen realized that health issues were of concern to consumers, so she began to research and produce processed products from bird's nests.
After a period of research, in June 2022, Ms. Duyen started producing bird's nest combined with lotus seed milk. Due to lack of experience at first, the product did not meet expectations. Determined not to be discouraged, with the encouragement and support of her family, Ms. Duyen continued to research and learn from experience to adjust the formula to make the lotus seed milk bird's nest more perfect. By the end of 2022, Ms. Duyen launched a batch of Thien Gia Phuc lotus seed bird's nest products.
To improve production efficiency, Ms. Duyen has promoted investment in machinery and modern production processes to ensure food safety. Along with focusing on quality assurance, she is very interested in investing in product design and packaging, introducing lotus seed and bird's nest milk through social networking sites and fairs in and outside the province. Up to now, Thien Phuc Dong Thap Bird's Nest Company Limited has launched more than 5 product lines, including key products such as: refined bird's nest, stewed bird's nest, lotus seed and bird's nest milk, lotus seed and bird's nest milk, lotus seed and bird's nest milk with coffee flavor... Each month, the unit produces more than 1 ton of lotus seed and bird's nest milk. This product is being consumed in the markets of Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and the provinces: Dong Thap, An Giang, Kien Giang...

Ms. Duyen shared: “In addition to direct sales, I sell products through e-commerce platforms and social networks, bringing good results. In addition, I also bring products to fairs and exhibitions to introduce products to more consumers, aiming to bring products to foreign markets. Regarding raw bird's nest, I invested in building a bird's nest house with an area of over 20,000m2. As for lotus seed raw materials, the unit proactively signed contracts with farmers in the province with an area of about 5ha. In addition to increasing family income, the unit also creates regular jobs for more than 10 female workers with an income of 4 - 6 million VND/person/month".
