Sharing difficulties with Agent Orange victims in Que Son district

Through practical actions such as housing support, medical examination and treatment, gift giving, etc., the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims in Que Son District (Quang Nam) has helped many cases to stabilize their lives.

At the end of 2024, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Que Son District handed over a house to the family of Mr. Dinh Huu Vinh - an Agent Orange victim in Nghi Son Village (Que Hiep Commune). The house was built with support from the Ho Chi Minh City Volunteer Tennis Club with an amount of 60 million VND.

On the day she moved to her new home, Mrs. Tran Thi Lien (Mr. Vinh's mother) emotionally said: "My son has suffered from Agent Orange since he was a child, his limbs are so cramped that he cannot walk.

Meanwhile, my family’s circumstances were too difficult to build a new house. Now, with the support of the District Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims and other benefactors to build a house and receive many gifts, my family is very grateful.”

Ms. Cao Thi To Nga - Vice President of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Que Son district said that in the district there are currently nearly 1,100 victims of Agent Orange and thousands of people exposed to toxic chemicals.

In recent years, with the spirit of "Joining hands to ease the pain of Agent Orange", the Association at all levels has focused on surveying, classifying the needs of victims and diversifying forms of resource mobilization. In 2024, the District Association alone mobilized more than 1 billion VND to help Agent Orange victims.

From this fund, 5 new houses were built for victims and people exposed to toxic chemicals; 4 cases were supported with sudden difficulties; 199 gifts were given to victims on holidays and Agent Orange victims' day...

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Love - Responsibility for Agent Orange victims", from the beginning of 2025 until now, the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Que Son district and the grassroots continue to mobilize businesses, organizations and kind-hearted individuals to donate 392 gifts to Agent Orange victims with a total cost of 286 million VND. Of which, the District Association mobilized 260 gifts with a total cost of 215 million VND and the grassroots association mobilized 132 gifts with a total cost of 70.4 million VND.

Along with socialized resources, every year the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Que Son District also advises the district leaders to visit and give gifts to families of victims in difficult circumstances. At the same time, they coordinate to promptly and fully resolve policies for victims of Agent Orange in accordance with regulations.

“With the mission of helping, uniting, and alleviating the pain of Agent Orange, the Association of Agent Orange Victims at all levels in the district will continue to accompany and spread love and responsibility towards the victims. Innovate and diversify forms of mobilizing social resources to join hands to help Agent Orange victims,” said Ms. Cao Thi To Nga.
