Sharing experiences in ensuring ideological security in Vietnam under current conditions

(CLO) On the afternoon of December 12, in Hanoi, the Academy of Journalism and Propaganda and the People's Public Security Academy jointly organized a national scientific conference with the theme "The issue of ensuring ideological security in Vietnam under current conditions".

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Minh Son - Director of the Academy of Journalism and Communication emphasized: The workshop is a very meaningful scientific activity, contributing to a comprehensive and objective assessment of the current situation of ensuring ideological security in Vietnam in recent times.

From there, propose orientations, tasks, solutions, and recommendations for the Party, the State, management agencies, and specialized forces in charge of ensuring ideological security, contributing to continuing to effectively implement Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW dated October 22, 2018 of the Politburo (12th tenure) on strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation and fighting against erroneous and hostile views in the new situation.

According to Prof. Dr. Le Van Loi - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, ideological security is one of the core issues of political security and national security. In every revolutionary period, the Communist Party of Vietnam has always paid special attention to the work of protecting the Party, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, and ensuring security in the ideological field. Policies and orientations on ensuring national ideological security are expressed consistently and have innovations in content and form in accordance with practical requirements through documents of congresses, resolutions, directives, plans, and strategies of the Party and State...

Today's workshop is an opportunity for scientists, experts, leaders, managers of departments, ministries, branches, and forces working on ideological security to research, exchange, and discuss in order to objectively and comprehensively assess the current situation, share experiences, and propose solutions and recommendations to strengthen ideological security in Vietnam in the coming time.

At the conference, Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Xuan Tuy - Director of the People's Public Security Academy affirmed that the National Scientific Conference "The issue of ensuring ideological security in Vietnam under current conditions" had achieved its set goals and was a great success. The opinions of delegates and scientists provided useful scientific arguments for ensuring ideological security in Vietnam under current conditions.

Also at the workshop, the delegates' presentations focused on clarifying a number of main contents such as: Theoretical and practical basis for strengthening the protection of the Party's ideological foundation, fighting against erroneous and hostile viewpoints...

In addition, scientists, experts, staff, lecturers and journalists mentioned theoretical, practical and experiential issues related to ensuring ideological security in Vietnam in the current conditions. Many practical solutions were proposed to contribute to improving the effectiveness of ensuring ideological security in Vietnam in the new situation.
